Its changed my mindset about everything I buy - where as before if I needed it, I`d get it - even if it meant deodorant costing $6
Somethings its obviously different - If I need milk I`m not going to be like sorry DD you`ll have to wait for a sale haha, I`ll still buy it.
As for cleaning products, laundry and toiletries I almost always stockpile if its to get free, even if I have 5 already.

Before last year I was a terrible shopper, never watching for sales, buying what I was hungry for at the moment, etc. It was do-able when there was extra money, but since the cost of living keeps going up well beyond wage increases, I`ve had to find ways to make ends meet. Growing up, my family never couponed or saved money in other ways, so I had no idea how much could be saved just by watching for sales. Thinking about it bothers me because I could have saved sooooo much money by just being smart about my shopping habits.
They say money can`t buy happiness, but lack of funds sure can cause stress and grief! For sure couponing has brought me peace of mind since now can both eat and pay the bills.
