Thank you all for your excitement for me. I'm still so grateful for such an amazing prize.

We have discussed so many options. So many that my mind just turns to mush trying to figure out the best way to enjoy this gift. I think we have narrowed it down to

a) a week in the Dominican (Punta Cana) which is going to cost roughly $2600 for both of us and then
b) a 7 day cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. This will cost roughly $3500 (including air fair). We will pay the difference over and above what the voucher is worth.

I am just still in shock that we will be able to do this all on the grace of a very generous company that my husband loves working for.

Just finalized our Eastern Cruise. Sailing on the Ruby Princess in January. 2 days in Ft Lauderdale before sailing (to soak up some sun and do some sight seeing) I'm so excited. I did not realize how expensive cruising was. Everything costs money! The flights to Ft Lauderdale is just as expensive as a single cruise ticket. Sheesh no wonder it's a once in a life time vacation. Oh well so grateful we were afforded this trip. Still can not believe our luck (rather HIS luck. Mine is still non existent)

I think we have decided to use the rest of the voucher to surprise my in-laws in Calgary by going to visit for a week. They are always asking us to come out but the cost of airfare is crazy expensive and we could never justify spending $1000 on airfare I never even thought of doing using the voucher for airfare. I figured it had to be some place sunny that was all inclusive. Nope I can use it like cash at the travel agency so that's awesome.

So so excited.
