I'm not a lawyer. But I 'm wondering if she got them drunk, isn't rape of a minor x 3 counts? Only 2 years for all 3 teens?
Something is very, very wrong with this sentence she got.

Unfortunately, Shwa Girl, we don't have consecutive sentences in Canada like they do in the US and other country, here they run concurrently - at the same time. Kind of a volume discount, if you will....
One thing the Conservatives are trying to change, which is a very good thing!
But, yes, it would have been nice had the sentence been even longer!

An interesting side note - the boys were 14 so prior to 2008 this would have been perfectly legal. The government raised the age of consent from 14 to 16 May 1, 2008. See, the Conservatives aren't all bad.

For far too long, people have joked about boys being raped by women. It's good to see that it's now being treated seriously.
Short answer : no Long answer : NOOOOOOOOOOO!

Okay, while it is not good that she had sex with her son's three friends, it is good she didn't have sex with her sons! The thread title made it seem much worse! LOL.

We have had consecutive sentencing in cases of multiple murder since December 2011
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crimina...a#Imprisonment
When a jury convicts a person of second-degree murder, they can recommend to the judge a parole ineligibility period, but the judge is not bound by the jury's recommendation. In cases of multiple murder that occurred after December 2, 2011 (the date new legislation came into force), a court may, after considering any jury recommendation, impose consecutive periods of parole ineligibility for each murder of which the accused has been convicted. While the provision is not mandatory, this means, for example, that an individual convicted of three counts of first degree murder could face life with no parole for 75 years - or 25 years for each conviction.Last edited by DaveP; Sun, Jun 17th, 2012 at 10:48 PM.
