Coupon inserts in newspapers

Has anyone in Victoria found any of the coupon inserts that everyone talks about (Smartsource, P&G, etc). If so, which newspaper and what days? Thanks so much!!

in all my years living in victoria i've never seen them in the FREE papers (the type you can pick up around town) depending on where you live some people who get the free saanich news paper (i don't due to living in an apartment) it does come with the insterts (yet the ones around town in boxes outside shopping complexes don't)

In Duncan , the inserts are in the free newspaper so if your looking for certain coupons, let me know. I've got lots!

Hi im new to smart canucks and couponing too!
There is a smart source/ redplum schedule which comes in the times columnist most Saturdays...good ay to pick up a paper!

They come in the goldstream gazette and the Saanich news but for some reason they only put them in the papers for certain routes. I don't know how they decide who gets them and who doesn't. The TC has them on all routes I think.

Thanks everyone, i'll try the Saanich one and Goldstream Gazette. Not sure if it's worth buying a TC paper. We'll see though!

The last two smart sources have only been in the TC. I hope that is not the new trend. the January 8th smart source was in some of the papers from some of the Gazettes and Saanich newses. I emailed both of these papers to see if they are going to have smart source anymore and asked why some routes get them and some do not and I am still awaiting a reply. Both of the last 2 redplums have been in the free papers (some routes only).

i've semi discovered that(after spending a late night hunting boxes.. i'll admit) that the sannach news what gets home delivered is different then the one in the box outside the grocery store.. the home delivery has the coupon inserts BUT the ones in the box don't, i dont know about the goldstream version though.. and in all my years living in victoria i've never found a coupon insert in the victoria news paper (home delivered or boxes)

Not even all of the home delivered ones get coupons. I have two friends that live near downtown and they get home delivered papers but don't get coupons. I have yet to figure out why.

the downtown one (where i'm at) is the "victoria news" i know someone who lives on the gorge and gets the "saanich news" home delivered and she gets the inserts in her paper, but the paper in the box (outside the grocery store kinda thing) has a few less flyers and no inserts.. it seems there's no rhyme or reasoning to it.. i can't warrent buying the TC just for the inserts only to chuck the paper

I wonder what the stores do with the Saturday papers on Sunday Morning? I wonder if they would sell them at a discount or give them away free. Mcdonalds always has a few papers. I wonder if they would give away the coupons early on a Saturday morning. I have contemplated sending my kids around the neighborhood asking neighbors for their coupon inserts. So many people don't even look at them. Even more tacky would be checking the recycling boxes on the street (even I am not going to do that one). But there may be some creative way to get coupons for next to nothing just like we've found ways to get everything else for next to nothing. Worth a try?

Did anyone get the smartsource insert today? I phoned the TC and the fellow there 'hadn't heard of any coupon books lately'

I assume that it won't be in the free paper being that they are published on Wed./Fri. and it's Saturday?
