In Quebec they are trying to eliminate english school boards. Bill 86 is in hearings right now and if it goes through it will be the end for anglos. We will no longer have the right to english education. Bill 101 and the cultural genocide continues. Oh and yes it's unconstitutional but when did that ever stop the Quebec government.

Last Treblinka death camp survivor, Samuel Willenberg dies
Samuel Willenberg, the last survivor of Nazi Germany's Treblinka death camp in Poland, has died in Israel aged 93.
Only one of 67 people known to have survived the camp, he escaped by clambering over bodies piled up by a fence as the Nazis shot prisoners during a mass break-out.
In 2013, he returned to the site to mark 70 years since his escape.
About 870,000 people died in the gas chambers at Treblinka - more than anywhere else except Auschwitz.
Mr Willenberg urged the world never to forget Treblinka.

Short answer : no Long answer : NOOOOOOOOOOO!

Ontario owes $315 billion and the new budget just keeps spending and of course lots of hidden taxes for us. Rising debt yet free university. Imagine there will soon be an influx of adult students to this troubled province. Windmills producing excess power at marked-up prices more than we need is being supported by heavy subsidies to big corporations and the consumer is paying for it. A billion a month in interest alone...this cant continue for long.Last edited by seylz_gurl; Fri, Feb 26th, 2016 at 04:11 PM.

SDM now wants the medical marijuana business, because it will fit right in with its other health initiatives (i.e., the largest selection of pop chips snacks and candy anywhere)

Our SDM is beside the LCBO with a drive thru Beer Store on the other corner. It's a death trap parking lot for pedestrians, so I'd like to see the stoners get in there and slow things down.
On the bright side, between the SDM, the LCBO, the Beer Store and a bank on the same corner, I am sure they will have video of it the day I do get run over.

So tired of Quebec being so precious...
The Quebec government filed an injunction Tuesday morning to press TransCanada Corporation to follow the province’s environmental process as it prepares for its Energy East pipeline.

In much more positive energy news! (not far from where I grew up)
Steam operations have started at the Edam East project,
the first of three new heavy-oil thermal projects in the province.

With Premier Brad Wall on hand for the official opening ceremony on Tuesday, the Edam East development is part of what Husky Energy describes as its “ongoing transition into a low-sustaining capital business.”
“Edam East is the latest in our growing suite of heavy oil thermal projects, which are leading our transition to a low-sustaining capital business,” said CEO Asim Ghosh in a statement.
“With fast build times and quick ramp ups, these projects typically produce more than their nameplate capacity in their early years and the operating costs are amongst the lowest to be found anywhere in the industry.”
Edam East has the capacity to produce 10,000 barrels of oil per day, according to Husky.
The new projects are expected to create 90 permanent jobs and 750 construction jobs. Husky also operates a heavy oil upgrader and an ethanol plant in Lloydminster.
“We’re working hard to create the Saskatchewan advantage and we’re grateful for Husky’s commitment to our province,” Premier Wall said in a prepared statement.
“Despite low oil prices, our province’s energy sector continues to attract billions of dollars in new investment. That’s another indication our diversified, resilient economy is weathering the economic uncertainty and continuing to create opportunity for Saskatchewan families.”
