Any predictions for the Quebec election?
QUEBEC CITY—If she had to do it all over again, Parti Québécois Leader Pauline Marois wouldn’t have spent a full week of the 2014 election campaign talking about sovereignty.
That early campaign misstep by one of Quebec’s most experienced politicians coincided with her party’s drastic slide in support. With just one day left before polls open, the PQ has been incapable of mounting a recovery.
“Probably I shouldn’t have answered the questions on sovereignty, considering the issue is a choice of government — a solid government — and that’s what I’m offering,” Marois said at a news conference in Drummondville, Que., on Saturday.

She will lose and resign tonight. Actually she may not resign, she is such an evil person she may try to fight all the way out. I have never seen such a vile, disgusting human being. The PQ remind me so much of the republicans in the U.S. they live in a bubble and think they are untouchable.
Peladeau will not even win his own riding. (thank you PKP for the fist pump that changed the election)

PQ leader Pauline Marois takes the stage after her party was defeated in the provincial election Monday April 7, 2014 in Montreal. Marois lost her seat in Charlevoix-Cote-de-Beaupre to Liberal candidate Caroline Simard.
MONTREAL — Pauline Marois is stepping down as Parti Quebecois leader after a crushing election defeat on Monday.
The party won only about 30 of the 125 ridings up for grabs — down from the 54 it had when the election was called.
Marois, who won a minority government in 2012 as she became the province’s first female premier, also lost her own riding of Charlevoix-Cote-de-Beaupre.
She gave no details in her speech on Monday night about when she will leave the party.

The charter as it stood was a misguided attempt. There was much more to it than the 1 article which everyone clung to which was the wearing of religious symbols by civil servants.
There is though a need to stop radicalism in this country. How this will be achieved when it is backed by big money from the middle east I don't know. In the end it will be our own Canadian Charter of rights and freedoms that will work against us in stopping these monsters.

Vimy April 9, 1917
The Canadian flies over the Canadian National Vimy Memorial site in France.
The message of Vimy Ridge is one of bravery and sacrifice. The battle, which took place on April 9, 1917, is commonly highlighted as a turning point in Canadian history, where the four Canadian divisions fought together as a unified fighting force for the first time.
While 3,598 Canadian soldiers were killed during the battle, the impressive victory over German forces is often cited as the beginning of Canada’s evolution from dominion to independent nation.
Canadians need to understand the importance of Vimy to our nation’s identity.
To underscore the sacrifices made by Canada, which suffered 60,000 fatalities during the First World War, France granted Canada 107 hectares of land at Vimy to build and maintain a memorial. That iconic site is today considered one of the most stirring of all First World War monuments, and certainly Canada’s most important war memorial.
