i dont do well with this, my daughter has been harassed by bullies for the past two years at school. (both with teasing because of her glasses and with this kid who liked to show her his penis and spit on her and hit her) no way am i going to stand there and let it happen.
i think it made me this mad just because we are sure he has an actual disability and though it is still undiagnosed i still get a knee jerk reaction when i hear derogatory comments in regard to his capabilities
Sorry to hear that you went through that Krysta. She was in her own class of pure rudeness there.
Sadly though, she probably said some-thing like that before and the other person was stunned into silence by her.
Well not with my kids.. i have tons of unwanted gray hairs to prove it.

I can't believe someone would say that:( Saddens me in this day of age someone could even think those words:(
I would never say that but I have left a store because I was in line and a child was screaming so loud..I suffer from constant daily migraines and I thought if I don't leave now I will barf everywhere:(
I am sure that mom thought I was so rude but I had to go.
Good for you for sticking up for your son, any good parent would!
I take my daughter to the park and there's this annoying man that walks his dog each time we are there. My daughter just turned 4 and she absolutely adores animals and always asks the man if his dog is friendly because she wants to pet him. He always tells her no and she's completely okay with that and walks away.
The last time she was at the park with me and we saw the man and his dog again, she ran up to him and asked if his dog was friendly and of course he replied "no" but this time he made the mistake of adding "you are too hyper for the dog". Well I let him have it, I didn't curse because of the environment but I did tell him that if he didn't want kids touching his dog, maybe he shouldn't bring it to a park! GRRRRRRRRR!

i just dont get how she could say such horrible things
So cute:) He is a keeper:). (my grandma would have said that!)
OP - That is horrible what she said about your son and she absolutely should not have said that.
You might not be a bad mom, however cursing at her in front of your son is pretty bad and makes you appear to be a bad mom. Didn't we all learn growing up that 2 wrongs don't make a right?
