Does anyone remember who Orson Bean was? DH and I do ( guess that makes us old-ish )
What a tragic end to his long life ( he was 91 years young! ).

Bean, 91, was walking off the crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle and fell, then was struck by a second vehicle, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene in front of the Pacific Resident Theatre, where he and his wife, actress Allison "Alley" Mills, were company members, according to CNN affiliate KABC.
The last time I saw him on tv he was portraying a horrible racist/misogynist/ in The Guest Book ( it IS in fact a hilarious show ) despite this particularly dark episode.
The therapist who was trying an experimental therapy by trying to unlock his memories for his Alzheimer's was horrified when he slowly through remarks and actions revealed who he really was and had been his whole life!
At the end of the episode he goes missing but when she finds him in the closed garage with the truck running she makes the decision to " let " him asphyxiate.
He was known for his comedic roles in so many shows.
R.I.P. Orson.
Agreed @walkonby .
sigh....I was truly bummed out the day I heard the news about Christie Blatchford passing from lung cancer. I wanted to come and post it in here but some passings just hit you harder than others.

I was an avid follower of her column in her days at the Sun newspaper, and took particular enjoyment from them, especially the ones that included her reference to her live in partner as The Boy. She may have had a Bancroft, Ontario connection as one of her columns referred to the gals up there as " fat bottomed girls ".
DH and I were reading the paper at our cottage that day and lol at that!
R.I.P. dear Christie!!
