@Shwa Girl When i read about the Iron Sheik's passing yesterday I was going to come here to post but then thought maybe I was the only one who was a part time fan. So many in the entertainment industry have left us and it's tough not to think of them as family. Especially when many were part of our daily lives! ( on the boob tube! ..lol )


Oh geesh! Just now I see Pat Robertson has met his maker. 93 years old. There were times ( many moons ago ) when I would sneak a peek at The 700 Club.

An icon passed today. Alan Arkin ( 89 ) .
Much earlier I thought I had heard on the radio that Alan Alda had also passed BUT it was one of those cruel hoaxes that quite frankly is never funny.

Pretty sure most of us were expecting this beloved crooner to leave us and today he did. Farewell and R.I.P. Mr. Tony Bennett! You had THAT voice, the kind that makes ears perk up and goosebumps to form. Farewell.

very likely Sinead O'Connor ended her own life, but no reports on the cause of death yet. She most certainly never recovered from losing her son Shane to his suicide at 17.

Sad today to learn that Paul Reubens lost his battle with cancer at 70 years of age.
True Confessions..... DH and I always watched PeeWee Herman's Playhouse together!
We laughed so much at everything and were shocked to see who played " Cowboy Curtis "
on his show! Laurence Fishburne!! lol

Johnny Hardwick ( voice actor, writer, stand up comic ) known most recently as the voice of Dale Gribble on the animated tv series KOTH. His body was discovered in his home on August 8th after a wellness check was issued. Just 64 years old. R.I.P.

oh this passing stings. Really stings. Bobby Baun, has left us at 86. DH and I used to hit up the Tim's on Whites Road
that Bobby managed and order lovely birthday cakes from there. DH chatted him up a few times.

In the 1964 Stanley Cup Final against the Detroit Red Wings, Baun scored the overtime winner in Game 6 on a broken leg.

Any fans of the now ended series This Is Us? The actor ( Ron Cephas Jones ) who portrayed the father of the character Randall Pearson has passed. He was 66 and suffered from COPD.
We just recently buried my SIL who passed from the same condition. She was 67.

What a coincidence that Bob Barker passed at 99 years of age, just like Betty White (another animal activist).

Just last week, Roku added The Price is Right-Bob Barker era channel to the streaming lineup. Now I find that eerie.
I watched so many episodes of the US game show that I got quite accurate on grocery item pricing!

This actor has a personal connection for me, I actually dressed up as Illya Kuryakin ( a character David McCallum played on Man From U.N.C.L.E. ) for Halloween one year. Hey, I was about 9 years old at the, obsessed with him specifically from the show. At that time I was skinny as a rail, had similar blonde hair...ha ha Fond memories for me, but not one house handing out treats knew who I was supposed to be.
Sadly, David passed on today at 90 years old.

Billy Miller, age 43. Two days shy of his birthday. Amazing actor who played Billy on The Young and The Restless then went to GH. He ‘surrendered his life' as per his mom. He had been battled bipolar depression.
