    I hear that they are trying to negotiate a new settlement right now... the lady at the checkout (very nice) was not optimisitic.

    Does anyone know what the main issues are etc? Does anyone work in either of these stores (Are they the same owners?)?

    Would be interested in hearing more about this...

    They are owned by two different companies,but the employees belong to the same union. Bargaining has been going on for a long time with little resolved. They will probably go on strike in the near future.
