Aw, that's so sweet! Thank you but I think we're going to stick to just wonderland. We considered taking the kids to the zoo also but they're only 3 and 1 so I think it'll be too much for them. Maybe in the spring or next summer we'll spend more time and do more of the attractions.

I'm so glad I finished my shopping and sent my package. Today was my only other shopping day and DS has other plans. He was up all night with a fever. Finally got him down a little while ago so I hope he gets some rest. Ugh, I hate paying daycare $48 for days like this! At least DD is in daycare today. Gives me a bit of a break.

And of course big happy birthday wishes to Jez! I'll have to pop over and post in the birthday thread.

Nope, sadly it's just for DS. $48 for the infant/toddler room per day. $40 for the preschool room per day (where DD is).

Both are only in the centre 2 days a week. Gives them a chance to socialize (they are both behind with verbal skills) and gives mom a chance to do errands.

DS just started this month because DH is away working and I desperately needed a bit of a break each week, especially getting over being sick. I wanted 1 day a week but the centre minimum is 2.

wow can't believe the daycare prices that you guys are paying. in MB in a center, it is under 20 bucks per day for preschool and under 30 bucks per day for infant. definately could not afford to have my son in day there. i had my son in a home where he was one of a couple of kids and i paid 15 bucks for a full day. didn't matter his age. i definately lucked out!!!

On the flip side, I guess my daughter is very fortunate this summer.
She is working as a nanny for a 6 yr old boy & a 2 1/2 yr old girl- in their home 830-530 every weekday.
They are paying her $100/day & bought her a "nanny pass" to a very upscale aquatic club (pools, beach, sailing, tennis, volleyball, playgrounds). They even paid her for a full week while they were away on vacation & she didn't work.

She is sooo lucky, they are so good to her. When she was looking for a job most families were offering $50/day.

I have got a pretty good deal too! I stay at home with my DD (2yrs) but I also watch my neighbour's kids (6yr boy & 3 1/2 girl) in the mornings from 6am to 8:30am 4 days a week and 6am to 10:20am on tuesdays for $600 a month. Plus this summer I have been watching them both on wednesday until 4pm for an additional $35/day. In the fall I will have the younger one for 2 days a week for the same. Its great, it allows me to have the freedom in the day to go out and have 1 on 1 time with DD, but also provides our family with an extra source of income.

OMG! Daycare prices are nutso! (For those that don't know.. . no kiddos for me)

I want a boob job too. But to make them smaller. I have been "blessed" with all natural DDD boobs. I don't like them. Finding Bra's and swimsuits are never easy. BUT, I can't have them done yet... the weight loss journey continues... I want to be at my goal weight for a year before I pay for something like that. I have another 80ish lbs to go.... so new boobs wont happen for a few years.

Hubby jokes that he will have a 35 year old wife with a new set of 18 year old boobs. (he is so tender at times)

If anyone could use a boob job its me. 4yrs ago I was a 32B (and I was happy with that), then I develop allergies to almost all food (it was terrible I couldnt eat, gluten, milk, soy or corn - note corn is in EVERYTHING), lost weight and boobs I fixed the majority of my allergies (through a naturopath). I got my boobs back when I was preggo, but afterwards they shrank, now I am lucky if I can fill a 32A However, after my C-section surgery I not looking to have anymore surgeries if I can help it, so it looks like I will be sticking with my non-boobs!

Man.. I thought I was a good shopper, but I'm no where near $3 or $5! Every penny I'm spending is definitely worth it for my buddy, she is an awesome SC'er! (But.. I wish I had better shopping skills! Hopefully I can make up for it in the thoughtful & humorous presentation I'm planning)

I am still trying to figure out how to do my 'presentation'. I think I am getting a cold so I better get on that!

OK, I power shopped this morning, in an hour and 45minutes I went to the bank, 6 stores, spent a ridiculous amount of money on my BF for his birthday today, and finished up my Buddies shopping (I think..we'll see once I start putting it together). I hope my buddy has a sense of humour.. I got something a little extra not on her list, but part of a package just for her based on knowledge I obtained by stalking some of her posts... super stealth like... muhahahahaaa.

Hint.. one of the items will squeak when pressure is applied....
