I can't wait for winter. Sure, I complain about the cold, but snow makes everything look so pretty. I like to ski.

I think snow is very pretty. Does walking in the snow count? Tobogganing (sp?) of course... in Regina I have cross country skis but have not moved them out here yet.

Cross country skiing is a lot of fun for us.
Be a little kinder than necessary, remember everyone is fighting their own battles.

I'd like to try some winter sports... but I don't know which ones would be right for me. Hubby wants me to try skating, I'd like to try snowshoeing. We'll see what I end up doing this winter. Being from the Caribbean, I've never actually tried any winter sports. The closest I've come to skating so far is slipping and sliding on the ice.

hahaha...i moved here from India...and i'm in the same boat as you when it comes to winter sports....i've tried ice skating a couple of time (to many of you here...it might not seem so difficult...but once you've grown to a certain age even easy things such as gliding on ice without falling can be very difficult )
I've only recently gotten a hang of skating....however stopping is still an issue
But i'll keep trying...if not for anything else but for the cute boys that offer to hold on to me and help me hahahaha
In the mean time....i always have indoor sports such as volleyball to keep me company

LMAO exactly! Add to that the fact that it is very hard to find a hill with no trees at all around here, and you have tons of fun!

EEK!
I've ran into my fair share of trees. Ouch!
Here we've got an amazing hill to shoot down. When we were younger we'd Pam our sleds so we'd go faster. I don't think I could do that now... lol I'd break something for sure.
