Yucca's have nice flowers too, if I'm thinking of the right plant.

That's awesome - I'm jealous! It's tough seeing all the plants at the beginning of the season and then playing the waiting game in hopes that there will still be some left at a reduced price by the end of the season. I'm a total plant hoarder though - I now have to tell me boyfriend not to let me go into the garden centre 'cause I don't really have places in the lawn to put it (plus with the drought it just one more thing that needs extra care).
my best find so far was at FreshCo - at the end of their "season" they had a bunch of leftover basil and parsley plants (and a bunch of other annuals) all for free. They looked horrible but they were BONE DRY. I took a whole bunch (and there were still some left when I went back a few days later so I took more) - all they needed was a little watering and they've done amazing! I've been giving away basil plants to people just 'cause I ended up with so many but I felt back leaving them their to die when all they needed was some water! I figured for free -worst case they die, best case...I end up with way way way to many plants..lol.Join Swagbucks to earn some extra money! Use my referral code

Oh I do that too because, you snooze you lose, but many times there are still a few surprise pickings at the end of the season. Obviously we have no choice but to buy annuals full price in the beginning of the season. Too many times I saw something and waited and then it was gone
