My first pregnancy was a miscarriage (partial mole). After that, you never have a blissful and worry-free pregnancy because you know what can happen.
Hold off on telling people for as long as possible... most people at work didn't know about either of my two successful pregnancies until 20 weeks or later.... they found out about the second when I was six months along!
Best wishes!

Congrats.. all I can say is as time goes on, there's less and less fear. I had a miscarriage my first time around, and an eptopic pregnancy the second. When I was pregnant the third time, there was serious health issues that threatened the pregnancy. The thing that really got me through was knowing that each ultrasound that went good, each week she grew, each stress test that went fine, I calmed down much more. I try to think that when I had a miscarriage that maybe there was a reason why, like maybe the baby would of been sick, and that it was for the best. I'm not religious or anything, but I figured it was a sign that it just wasn't meant to be, but I knew I could conceive, and one day it would happen for us when the time was right.

i had a miscarriage beginning of this last April..got pregnant next month..i'm now 14 weeks...the first trimester was so long , any slight cramp worried me so much..but as soon as i hear the heartbeats (i did 3 ultrasounds in 2 months thanks to my doctor to let me relax) i would relax much much more..
just to let u know i'm on prometrium (progesterone) since week 4 which helps sustain pregnancy and i will continue taking it till week 16..
good luck..happy and health pregnancy God willing!Last edited by danielzmom; Fri, Jul 27th, 2012 at 09:10 AM.

First of all, congrats!!! <3
I don't have any real good advice for you as I've never miscarried before, but I will say a little prayer for a full term pregnancy and a healthy baby for you.
I was really concerned early in my pregnancy also, to ease my mind I didn't do anything anyone says you're not supposed to do. I never painted my nails, dyed my hair, went near cat litter, lifted anything, I ate healthy, quit smoking, quit tanning, rested lots, and never missed a prenatal vitamin... I'm sure none of those things made a difference, what is supposed to be will be, but if something did happen, I would atleast have the peace of mind of knowing that I did everything I could. I know it sounds like I was a little over the top, but I just didn't want to have any reason to blame myself if anything did happen, it kept me a little more at peace I think..
Congrats again! Wishing you full term pregnancy! (Although I'm sure as you near the final weeks you'll be wishing it was over! )
