Well my friends,
I am happy to report that the 2 recent boo boo things that I had removed are not malignant. There was the concern that with my history & the appearance of these "moles" that it was best to remove them. The pathology seemed to take forever. I am so relieved that I do not have a new cancer issue.
Wednesday I was down at Princess Margaret for a CT scan of my chest, abdomen & pelvis (the area where I had that stoopid nasty tumour last year). I will be back there to see my doctors in a couple of weeks.
I had a pretty good day today - I ordered all my aches & pains to get lost. I can tell you that coming to this thread and reading all the thoughts that have been sent my way remind me of how great life can be. This cancer has been so disabling in many ways but I have learned more than I could have ever imagined. I've met some incredible people - some of whom are no longer with us. I am not always so nice to the people I love the most. I get frustrated & grumpy & they bear the brunt of my crabby times. I am pleased that my new prosthesis has been working out well & my hobbling still gets me around.
I hear that the Canadian Cancer Society will soon be charging people a one time $100.00 fee for their transportation service. Well worth it, but in over 60 years they have never had to charge any patients for their services. Times are tough and they really do not have any choice. I hope they have some kind of a program that can assist people who cannot afford this fee.
This weather makes me think of making onion soup - one of my faves.

I give thanks that your latest concern turned out not to be one, and I hope and pray you will receive the same good news for the rest of you.
It is difficult to function at 100% especially when dealing with those close to us. That is my biggest regret. We can only do what we can do at the time and given our circumstances. You have to walk in our shoes to know what it is like, but I wish it upon no one.
One day, hour or minute is all we can do to function at times. I hope we both have more success with this.Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

That's the best news I've heard in a long time Val, and hey....I never got my share of the soup which by the way is one of my very favorites.....I'm slowly coming out of my funk, my hole was deep this time. When you loose someone that's so very close to you and it's the last thing you every thought would happen, the shock can become overwhelming. I'm so thankful that you, like I have very understanding family. I'm so happy to be back, rest well my dear friend.
We all need a little sunshine every now and then
