Two trips to 2 different Shoppers Drug Mart to do my redemption... as the first Store didn't carry the Paper towels I was after! So this meant I had to come up with additional items to purchase... So I ended up grabbing $50 worth of Easter Candies. These will come in handy but certainly were not planned for.
If you haven't been out to the new Shoppers Drug Mart in Airdrie, I would say it is WELL worth the Gas! The staff is amazing, they have a large food section, which includes produce and they are COUPON FRIENDLY!
A break down of what we were able to get for a net GAIN of $4.50

Then there was my price matching trip to Airdrie Walmart
My couponing Pal went out to Airdrie Walmart yesterday to price match the Adidas Deodorant, and was denied, so I figure I would try... and education them! So as I was heading that direction for other reasons.. I went on over, with my Rexall and Pharmasave Flyers... The cashier had no issues price match, at first though you could only price match 1 item for a max quantity of 1... We got that fixed really quickly when a CSM came on over. Then I presented my coupons! OMG the world came to an end... She said she could not Price Match use a coupon on the same product... I asked her to get her manager... She called the CSM over again, who sad NO... I then asked her to get her Manager... She walked away and said she confirmed it was NO.. I asked to personally talk to the manager, up walked another CSM.. So I asked "Are you the Manager?" She replied No, So again, I asked for a manager... The first CSM called someone, and said I would like to speak with him... Up came the Assistant Manager... who did indeed confirm, that YES I can Price Match and Coupon! This all on a Saturday afternoon, at peek time... Yes I did cause a line up.. but in the end the CSM (who was always very nice), thanked me for getting the rules confirmed. I am sure everyone will go on break when I enter that store again!
Total OOP for 8 Deodorant, and 6 body wash was $7.63
******Now off to Rexall! My Pal (the bestest in the world), told me about some awesome clearances found out at the Rexall in Airdrie.... As I am a bargain hunter, I can never pass up an amazing deal!
I got everything in that above photo for just $11.21! All was on clearance and if I were to have purchase it at full price, it would have cost me over $200!! So I left the store doing a happy dance. I finally have a nice stock of a good product that is perfect for ME! Yep, this bunch is for me! Not hitting the donation pile... Me, Me, Me!
******
Prior to couponing, I thought, like so many other, the answer was buying in bulk... So I have the fancy dancy Costco membership that for years proved valuable for me... Well, not so much now! My refund cheque was only $37.27... Well, we went and spent it today, prior to my membership expiring, which I have NO intentions of renewing and here is what I got! (plus $0.50, back in my pocket for the money remaining after tax)
I will miss there garbage bags, the oxo deal and their Salt and pepper grinders... So that is what I picked up today! But from here on out, I will have to find an appropriate substitute for these items, or con a friend with a membership to take me shopping. Oh, and when we were leaving I found a loonie on the ground!! So net GAIN $1.50!This thread is currently associated with: Costco, Pharmaplus, Pharmaprix, Pharmasave, Rexall PharmaPlus, Shoppers Drug Mart, WalmartPlease vote for our summer traditions on Facebook

WOW! Great brags!! And way to go on training the staff at Walmart!! I would make it easier for everyone if all store employees had the same information. And I agree with Costco, it just isn't worth it to have the membership and we never got a refund cheque!

the only problem with couponing is we get addicted to the good stuff
. I love the John Frieda, & will be on the hunt for this on clearance.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.
