Yay! So happy I live in the area. I know Langley has a lot of couponers so lets take it easy on them in the beginning and not squash this before it gets out of the gates.......

Let's hope stacking policy makes it to Quebec..
just a thouhgt (idea form another post) They should implement a cashier dedicated ONLY to couponers.. That way it would stop the fuss of other customers who choose NOt to coupon and make our lives easier as well as the life of the poor poor cashier that doesn't if she's coming or going..

Hmmm...interesting...I have heard mixed reports about this. Some have been successful doing this at the Langley store up until yesterday...I have now been hearing reports of people not being able to do this (as of last night)...so I am not sure what's up...if anyone is successful with this in the next days, please report back!!

I think that we have said it before, and it will be said again ... We just need to be patient and KIND!
... also remember, at this point, we know more about stacking than most of them do, so really really really be helpful and organized so as not to overhelm the cashiers ...
We want them to get this, and it make sense, etc ... we really do. SO if we are trying to push the envelope ... we will lose.
Lots of smiles and happiness towards the cashiers, and being encouraging and grateful goes along way. Treat then how you want to be treated, and we should all be alright

peace ...
RimaCheers!

Oh it would be so sad if a few bad apples have ruined this for all of us.
I really hope that maybe Langley Walmart underestimated how amazing stacking would be for all of us, and just needs to pause and regroup.
The cashier I had yesterday seemed like a pro and like she'd been well trained and had done it for quite a while.
Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope that Langley Walmart decides to keep going with it, not only for us local shoppers, but for the impact that it will have going forward.

I just heard the cashiers werent properly trained and were accepting a bunch of duplicate coupons (with the same UPC code) for the same product - they seem to be temp stopping the stacking until the cashiers are properly trained - dont know how long this will take!?! if you have plans to go there this weekend call ahead and make sure they are accepting coupon stacking

weird... on on the fence about if this is good or bad. might be seen as abuse of coupons by the manufactures

I'm thoroughly confused by this, as I was a the Langley Walmart this morning and had a cashier that said that they DO NOT COUPON STACK and that they're having problems with people coming in and thinking this after they've read things on the internet.
The manager was also called by a friend today and she stated that only one coupon per item is permitted, as per the fine print on the coupon. (She also mentioned that the manager seemed to be a bit puzzled about it herself.)
I called the head office and they clearly stated that they DO NOT allow coupon stacking. I told the rep on the phone that they'd better be addressing this ASAP because people are very confused.

Went to Langley and the manager had to look at our coupons to see if he would let us stack. My friend got some Gain and he let her use the b2get 2.00 off and the b2 get 3.00 off but would not let her use the 1.00 off ones. That is the only thing she could stack. I didn't even bother.

It's also been mentioned that the store got bombarded with couponers and cleared the shelves of stock (not just a few people, but lots of couponers as this was the only store allowing stacking), a bit crazy and overwhelming...ahhh...the age of the world wide web!! We'll see if they feel it is worth their time to do it again?!
Maybe SaveOn will have a better experience - lol.
Just feels like the end of stacking may be near...not being a downer, but I have always felt that there must be some point where it just gets 'too big' for them to continue - whether it be LD or the mfc. making the changes...with our local LD going from about 20 or so couponers to close to 200 in a matter of months is quite crazy, so imagine...
I am very happy with what I have 'in stock' and will continue to wait and see what unfolds....

**KIND** being the operative word here... unfortunately they were not only overwhelmed by the amount of couponers, but also had to deal with 'not-so-kind' couponers (arguing, aggressive, and such)...completely turned them off, not a good thing if we want them to continue this practice.

It seems that a few bad apples have indeed spoiled the bunch. I spoke with one of the managers this afternoon and from what I understand they were not only bombarded with couponers, but with people arguing about overages and the american coupon policy was a recipe for disaster unfortunately.
I spoke with management at Corporate WalMart Canada this morning and even she had confirmed that one location was allowing stacking (neither of us specified the location), but it seems that it has now been canceled indefinitely.

The policy ghat declares that there are overages allowed, and that competitors coupons are accepted is not the Canadian policy from my experience of contacting three local wm stores and head office. Wal mart needs to clear this matter up as it is getting spread around.
