I have a number of back issues: spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, ruptured & herniated discs, sciatica, significant nerve damage, & arthritis. The arthritis has spread to my S.I. joints (sacral iliac) and occasionally they cannot support my hips / pelvic bones. Anyhow, while I was sleeping, a spasm jerked me awake. When I jumped, the left pelvic bone dislocated. :(

Painful is an understatement. They administer morphine, have 4 staff hold you down while the doctor grabs hold of the bone, pulls it out, twists it, then puts it back in place. They then wrap you tight for 24 hours. Believe me, the pain meds had very little effect. I think I did some screaming, at least a little. I'm on morphine @ home too.
Oh well, the worst is over - I think / hope.
