Natalka...what IS it about lilacs?! Isn't it funny weird that no one can reproduce that scent without it smelling so artificial and cloying?

I know, it's an interesting conundrum.
I remember a while back, husband was going shopping and on the list was air freshner. I gave a few scents to choose from, but I said NO lilac.
Well, he came home with lilac, since he knows I love the scent of them. However, it's always disgusting in a spray!
Absolutely right! I also tried a lilac air freshened...never again and that was years ago. It just can't be done.
Why do I torture myself watching Robert Rainford on "Licence to Grill" when I can't eat most of that stuff on my diet?! But....he sure is nice to look at....:tongue:

Was up before 4, but internet was out - but luckily there are a few old movies on the puter, so I just finished watching Black Swan - well, how fargin' twisted was that movie, sheesh! Way, way too odd for me!

Lilacs are my favourite too. My grandmother's back yard was filled with them, so I have fond memories. We have two trees on either side of the front veranda so when they're in bloom the smell is wonderful. The only downside to that is that the spiders like to bungee jump from one side to the other. We have to keep a stick on either side to swat the web out of the way.

good morning all. Soon out the door to drop DD off at school. It is surprisingly sunny here now, so weird because at 6:00 a.m. when I took the pooches out you would have thought a storm was coming! ( high winds and darkish out ) Hope everyone is going to watch Game 7 tonight!! ( Go Rangers Go!! )
You're right Walker, when I walked Jake last night, & again this morning, It was windy, and the skies were almost black. Now, sunny, & the winds have finally died down a little.

Painting class today after a 2-week haitus because of my schedule, but I did my homework and I hope my teacher doesn't look at it and say, "We can fix that." LOL!!
Well, we did have a little sunshine yesterday but it's dreary once again. It would be awfully nice to cobble together at least two sunny days in a row around here!
