Thank you, Avon; I had to take a little hiatus, since all I was doing was complaining. The pain has let up about 50% so I'm back to myself again. Well...50% back, Lol!
Well, crap, "Sis"... What a mess you have on your hands. I hope by now you two un boxed the dehumidifier and you're now lounging on your sofa with a nice gin somethingorother in hand.
I hear ya about an apartment....we'd considered a condo before we 'exchanged' homes with our DD, but Hubby still likes having a yard and puttering around in ti...but there will come a time....or not...who knows what the future holds. I just hope and pray that once you get this problem solved nothing else will ever crop up again! :sweet:
Good morning guys. :hello:

Hi everyone, Hot and humid , feels like over 40 even with the breeze off the lake. No air in the cottage so I may have to sleep out side with the critters.
Trying to plan my trip to Vancouver in May. Visiting momofkali for a bit and probably a day trip to Seattle with her. She doesn't post here much anymore but I text her every day. Had dinner with her and her family in Vancouver a couple years ago. This time I want a bit better hotel lol. 5 nights including flight I'm looking at westin bayshore at $2500, pan Pacific $2800 or through priceline , Hyatt regency for about $2300. Can't wait to go visit since I lived there for 10 years.

Well, you're not going to believe this. We had 10 minutes of rain just as supper time. DH went out in his crocs to take the pop-can chicken off the BBQ. And zoom - he fell on the steps on his butt and also hurt his wrist again. Will he go for X-rays? OH NO! He says he's not in pain, but quietly put on his wrist support.
Tomorrow our cleaning helper is coming early and we are going to attack the "dust" that is now in our basement. No more water has come in. Fans and dehumidifier on full blast - zoom - there goes the electric bill! But it's so humid for the last couple of days that the level of humidity in the basement is not going down drastically.
I am going to get ahold of a couple of people in our church tomorrow as our church manse had HUGE water problems a couple of years ago. I'm going to see who they had to do the job. The fellow who said he would help us is tied up and I really NEED to get an answer and find out what we're facing here.
I should hit the sack.
I'm so tired!
Take care folks!
oh, avon, so much going on for you two - hoping things get better soon!
Well, over the last week I've tried some variations on my day/night to see if it would make a difference sleepwise.
I've not been feeling great with (gah) women's troubles, so it was a good time to do this. I just would sleep when the spirit (or pain) moved me. If that meant starting my 'day' at midnight, after having a sleep in the evening, so be it.
I did it for four days, and it made not a whit of difference.
So tonight I made sure I didn't nap in the evening, tried to go to sleep at 11, 12, 1 - and it was a no-go.
Hey, at least I tried something different! :)
Hope you all have a good day and a wonderful start to the week!
