Hi folks! Not many around today. We're on the plane and on our way to Denver. I have already set my watch ahead to Denver time. It's 7:15 their time and 95degrees It was 15 degrees C when we left Detroit. We were an hour late leaving so everyone will be in bed when we get there.

The most exciting thing I'll be doing today is blanching two cabbages to make leaves for holubtsi.
Husband has a golf tournament with work this afternoon (no, he's not a golfer and is not a fan). It's for the whole parent corporation (?), not just for the company he works.
Hey, at least I don't have to cook him supper, they have a BBQ after. I will just forage here, lol!

Good morning...if you can call it that. I'm watching the news about that young reporter and her cameraman shot to death live on air this morning in VA, and for some reason I'm just shaking and numb...they were so young, just staring out their lives..new jobs, an engagement..so senseless, I can't even shed a tear anymore...I'm just in shock...I posted in the news thread..
Anyway...slow day here, I have an appt with a doc to fit me with inserts for my "old lady" shoes that I'll have to wear from now on, or at least when I'm not dressed up for a special occasion. So this is how it happens...sigh....
I'd better leave off here before I depress everyone ... keep your loved ones close, and take care of each other and yourselves...

Love that saying, Nat: Relax, Relate, Release. The "relate" makes me think of people putting down their phones, iPads, etc and actually relating to and with each other again.
Busy day, baking cookies for our Grandson and his friend for this weekend at camp (staying with our DD and Hubby with his parents), bringing Jenny for her nail-trim, packing to leave for camp after my Drs appt this afternoon...
