first day of september and it feels like summer! scorching hot temps today and tomorrow! lovin' it :)
Morning all...hate getting sick...sniffles last night, and a tickle in the throat this morning...hopefully I can nip it in the bud today and stop it from being too bad.

You're right, Heartgirl...summer temps are still hanging around, thank goodness, but jeepers, it's not sunny at all, just cloudy and muggy, going up to 28.
Jenny has an appt for her Pawdicure at 11:30 so I'm heading out to run a couple of errands until then, hubby took his motorcycle golfing so I have the van to get an early start on the day...

I had the day off today ( chuckle! ) so I made a quick dash first to the bank and then to WM to pick up my Lindt bar ( FPC), use some pet food coupons up ( They were BOGO's so more Marrobones, a bag of Iams the wet food was free, and a free Purina Dog Chow ). Just got a bag each of oranges and strawberries from the reduced cart, but lucky I even got that! ( it was combat there today ) ha ha
Gas is going up tonight ( I think to $1.10 a Litre! ) so I filled up on the way home, enjoying my 12 cents off each litre from Petro Can.
The sun was out first thing when I took the dogs this a.m. but now it's downright stifling out there now.

Hello folks! 83 degrees and clear today. We can see the mountains clearly. Took back our rental car today. We don't really need it. Young one got hit in the throat with a fastball trying out for competitive baseball on Sunday. He's trying to "tough-it-out" but he has a big bruise and the inside of his throat hurts. I feel for him!
School has started 2 weeks ago in Denver. But, they do get out earlier.
It starts earlier in Texas, SC & I'm sure many other states. I miss the days of taking my boys to school. We sure had a lot of fun. I loved their artwork & stories about school.

Had a great supper and visit with our son yesterday - hadn't seen him for over a week!
He had a shower and did some laundry because they were having sewer problems at his house and were limiting water usage - but he found out while here that the city had fixed the problem that evening.
Going to blanche more cabbage today - couldn't resist them on sale. Stinky house, here I come, lol!
