Was supposed to be paid tomorrow but was in bank today. Went to shoppers and bought the conair even cut hair cutter. So many bad reviews but I find its mostly people using it the way they say not to use it. It worked awesome for me and worked better than my previous hair clippers. Tomorrow morning before work to do grocery shopping and see what warehouse one has here in 3x(or sears lol):)
it's a hot and muggy start to the day here. 24 feels like 31 already.

We're back from camp, had a great weekend, and today Hubby replaced the long 'flower boxes' on 3 sides of our deck. It's going to be fun filling them up with perennials next Spring. The painting of the deck will wait until Spring, too, no point in doing it before winter sets in. It'll be navy, to match the canopy, and any accents will be a sunny yellow.
I hope everyone stayed safe over the long weekend and made lovely memories with family and friends!!
Welcome home Lynn! The place is smelling so tomato-y now as the sauce has thickened up nicely, I may be filling the jars up and hot water bathing them sooner than I thought. Hope everyone enjoyed the first day back to the school grind!!

Hello folks! I think it takes as long to "un"pack as it does to travel there and back. I did get in some last minute shopping on the day after we landed back in the states on the way home.
I usually try to "celebrate" my retirement by doing something special on the first day of school. I called some compatriots but no one was home. (I guess they were out celebrating.)
Just got doggies back and spent the day getting back into routines - the weather was OPPRESSIVELY hot and humid. Did a bit of grocery shopping as we totally cleared out the fridge before we left. Also trying to find things we can eat on our new diet.
Made lots of calls to people we have to meet with, get business done with, etc. - back to the whirlwind life of a retiree!
We can now get the sidewalk put back in which we tore up during our water/electrical issues.
We are also getting some painting done in the livingroom/diningroom.
Dogs need to go to vets - yearly check-ups. They also need clips but the one has an issue with his back so I had to call the groomer to give her a "heads up."
Brother needed some help to solve an issue with Cogeco.
Hoping to harvest some crab-apples from our tree outside to use as applesauce. But, I wasn't going to work out in that 40 degree (with the humidex) heat to do that. I DID manage to water the wilting flowers.
Gotta get to bed as we stopped in at Food Basics to pick up some pork loins which were on sale. They didn't have any but they are getting another shipment tomorrow morning. Hope to wake up in time to get there. Have to go and get my hair cut and "tinted" tomorrow in prep. for a wedding that I will perform on Saturday.
Choir practice starts on Thursday - after I travel to another town to meet with the wedding couple.
And this was a week when we didn't have anything booked before today. Whew! Have a good week, folks!
