Go Jays!!Here is a little trivia for you!!!
1. The Jays have their own sign language: The players love to salute one another after clutch hits and scoring plays.
Five of my faves:
THE SIX — Josh Donaldson pays tribute to the city every time he crosses home plate by pointing three fingers from his left and right hands skyward. It’s also the number on Marcus Stroman’s jersey and a nod to local rapper Drake.
YOU CAN’T SEE ME — Joey Bats copped wrestler John Cena’s hand wave in front of his face after throwing out a New York Yankees player earlier this year. Munenori Kawasaki has, of course, put his own spin on it.
STIRRING THE POT — The boys were culinary artists in another life. After a single, double or triple, they’ll twist their invisible spoon inside what I only image is about to be another delicious win.
EDWIN’S EDWING — Every time he hits a dinger, Edwin Encarnacion rounds the bases with his right elbow extended. It’s also known as “walking the parrot.”
THE FLEX - After every home run Joey Bats and Edwin Encarnacion face each other and do a Hulk Hogan flex. Both being Dominican, they then say "Fuerte" which means "Strong" in Spanish. This home run salute reminds them to be strong and continue to provide power to the team.
2. Don’t get a knockoff jersey:Everyone wants to show their Blue Jays pride, but there’s nothing that looks worse than fake fan gear. You want to show your pride? Go for one of the classic logo caps or one of those newer 6ctober tees. And if you really want to be a super fan, for a cool $9,025 you can bid on Jose Bautista’s game-used jersey from Game 5 of the ALDS.
3. Know the songs: The players all have walk-up songs. Get to know ’em. Marcus Stroman struts out toDrake’s Miss Me, Troy Tulowitzki steps into the batter’s box to Aloe Blacc’s The Man and catcher Russell Martin uses Marvin Gaye’s Got to Give it Up. There’s also Take Me Out to the Ballgame (you have to sing it) and OK Blue Jays (that too) during the seventh-inning stretch, and now in the eighth, Blue Swede’s Hooked on a Feeling.
4. Fan etiquette: Downing a few beers is OK. Hurling them from the 500s onto unsuspecting fans below because of a perceived slight is not. This isn’t a soccer game. Cheer, chant, but don’t abuse your fellow neighbours because of a blown umpiring call.
5. We want two more ‘bush parties’: Remember, it’s not going to be a celebration when we beat the Kansas City Royals, it’s going to be a “bush party.” So say that often in the lunchroom at work.
6. Be prepared for heartbreak:Now that we’ve tasted a smidgen of victory, glory seems like it’s right around the corner. But as you get buckled in and this roller-coaster makes its way up, try and remember win or lose: It’s the ride that counts.
There are fine lines, dotted lines & lines that keeping you waiting,
There are lines of work & pick up lines & lines for figure skating,
There are lines of scrimmage that I’ve never seen,
There are fashion lines & lines for the latrine,
There are clotheslines & pockets lined,
& lines on faces that can be so refined,
There are lines of reason & lines of thinking,
& enemy lines that are hopefully sinking,
There are telephone lines & lines you can pen,
& the same old lines you keep hearing over again,
There are lines in the sand & hydro lines that transmit,
& lines of communication & lines of wit,
There are storylines & there are pipelines,
& paper with lines, even lines of design,
There are firing lines, bottom lines & party lines as well,
There are credit lines & picket lines – the kind where tempers swell,
So, when is a line just a line I’ll leave you with that to ponder?
& the end of the line is waiting, but that lies way down yonder.
It was sunny, but cold an windy till about 2:00, then the clouds, wind and cold moved in, so, so did I. So ok, I ready for the game; bring it on.
Go Jays Go !!!
hope the jays do better tonight!

Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons, however, wasn't a fan.
“Everybody celebrates more so than they used to,” Gibbons said via the New York Post. “If it’s happening for your team, your guy gets a big hit, nobody minds. If you are on the other side, nobody likes it.
“Personally, I don’t like it, but I think we all have kind of moved on past that.’’
Not this guy who decided to go all out and get a tattoo. What happens when Jose' moves on to another team, and then plays the Jays? How stupid is this guy going to look and feel as a Jays fan? It's like doing a dumb think like getting a name of a girl/guy on your skin, and then you split up. Some people eh

Nat, they look so springy! I see coloured glass vases in stores and think, "How cute.", but never think that placing flowers of the same colour in them could look so sophisticated. I'll snap a few up if they're a good price next time I see them...usually in HomeSense.:)
JAYS: so far so good! 3-zip for them...looks like KC put the fear into them last night! Whatever works!!
We had snow today...
Well, that svcked. :(

I am sure all the bandwagon crew, will find another team immediately to jump on for feel good factor.
I thought they were the best team until the 7th! Price struck out 18 in a row, I feel bad for him that it fell apart. we batted better tonight but we left a lot of men on base. That's baseball though, it can fall apart really fast. Really feel bad for Goins too, he is taking the heat for losing the game, it takes a lot of plays to make a ball game. Still keeping positive!!!
There is one PRICE that is doing everything right

The Canadiens (5-0) are off to the fastest start in team history and they have allowed only six goals. Former Red Wings head coach Mike Babcock took the money and ran to Toronto, but the Red Wings were off to a 3-0 start going into Friday night’s home game against Carolina. New head coach Jeff Blashill was promoted from within the organization and brings the same commitment to discipline and defence that marked Babcock’s reign in Detroit.

Carey Price is getting better with each start. The best goaltender in the NHL last season has a 4-0 record, a 1.25 goals-against average and a .957 save percentage after shutting out the Rangers on Thursday night. Price has a 7-3-1 record against the Wings. The under-appreciated Jimmy Howard is 2-0 this season and has allowed only one goal for the Red Wings. He’s 3-4-2 against Montreal.
