Aww....Natalka, that is absolutely darling. I've toyed with the idea of painting Jenny, or just her expressive eyes, but I know that once she passes I won't be able to look at it without crying, just as I do when I see a photo of our beloved Tammy....it's just too heartbreaking...
March 4th-"National Dance the Waltz Day"
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-a.../s320/mar4.jpg
It's Friday again, and while most people my age will definitely dance tonight at some point, I realize it probably won't be the "Waltz." However I have learned this dance (being a dancer) and it is very hard to make it look as easy as it does. If done right you look like you are gliding effortlessly across the floor and if done wrong you look like a couple in a big fight. Unfortunately for me I happen to have an extremely uncoordinated boyfriend, and absolutely hates any form of dance so I won't be doing any kind of dancing tonight! But don't let that stop you! Take it back to junior high school dance days and break out some "slow jams." Have a good night!
Good morning, everyone!!
Busy day...my frames are in so I'm off to order my new glasses...take my 2 50% off coupons to Michaels (there must be something there I didn't know I needed!), my weigh-in at Weight Watchers...yes, life is very busy in the retired fast lane this morning.
I did, however prepare breakfast for you all....Enjoy!!

Is there such a dance as the milk lovers’ waltz?
Or is that over the top & tinged with schmaltz?
Milk has seen us through so many milestones in our lives,
& I’ve never heard of milk being the cause of bad hives,
Some may remember milk being delivered by a friendly milk man,
A Silverwood’s Dairy truck that was not a sedan,
You may recall milk came in bottles & also in glass jugs,
& a cold glass of milk sure went good with those hugs,
Did you ever go to Becker’s cause your Mom sent you there?
& you could sometimes keep the change if there was any to spare,
Milk & cookies, my goodness what a perfect comfort snack,
I hear it cures boo-boos & your aching back!
The ads used to tell us to wear a moustache,
& you have to add milk if you have potatoes to mash,
Chocolate milk made for you with Nestle’s Quick,
If you were thirsty, it sure did the trick,
Remember how milk made rice krispies go snack, crackle pop?
& did you ever get a milkshake from a real ice cream shop?
Not many places merchandise milk in one litre bags,
& in Milk River, Alberta, they fly Milk River flags,
Is there such a thing as a Milk Lovers’ app?
& has a glass of milk ever sent you for an afternoon nap?
I still like milk, though I don’t drink it that much,
But I still think milk has gentle powers of the healing touch.
Took the bus 20 mins all the way to south porcupine so I could buy a couple cans of pop at dollarama lol(nice to have a bus pass now). It wasn't really for the pop just wanted to go somewhere and get out on my day off. Now at library but work saturday at 9am. ;)
Nat - she is really talented !! Love the dog recreation - incredible !!
Thanks for breakfast Lynn. I haven't eaten yet. :)
Have fun with all your running around.
I just got home; crossed another 4 places off my list.
Oh, Loocie, you've made me want to dance!

I'm watching the Jays, wishing I was in Florida.
Hello!! Back from running around too, 22Hicks! Got my glasses picked out...I had ordered them in black, but good grief...fell in love with the plum colour, so that's what I ordered!! I hope I don't look like the Easter Bunny whenever I wear yellow!!!
Natalka....omg, he was gorgeous!!! Such a sweet scene in that movie...
22Hicks, we did see them play one of the years we wintered in Florida (not all winter...love Christmas too much!), at Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports...what an enormous place that is!! I'd do that again in a heartbeat, if our dollar ever picks up! :-~
I wandered into Winners (I usually choose Marshalls over them, but they were next door to PetSmart..:)) and found a really cute sterling silver bracelet bonded in gold, made in Italy, with a nice grey pearl at each end that didn't come together and were slightly angled off each other...iykwim...I'm now thinking of giving it to our DD as one of her b'day presents this month...I did buy a pair of white pearl earrings for myself (love pearl earrings)...just fashion jewellry but a cute design. Those will be mine..:).......decisions, decisions....
Cabmonk, sounds like a neat little adventure for you today...back to the salt-mine tomorrow, though, huh? How are you enjoying the new job??
Everyone else having a good day?? I'm now either going to have lunch, a snack or wait for dinner and just have a cuppa peppermint tea....with a WW caramel bar..or, as I like to call it, "crack"!! I opened the box earlier this week and they're almost gone!! Hmph. Probably Jenny again...
Jobs OK so far. I was alone most of the day yesterday. Tomorrow is inventory day.
uh... @Lynn49 I thought I had mentioned those nasty little treats to you?? Oh sure they are ONLY TWO smartpoints but just try to stop at eating one!! I got 2 boxes of those for free when I was " allowed " at the first few meetings. The booklet they gave me had 2 coupons for those, so what the heck I brought home both boxes never suspecting I would even try them. :hahaha:Both boxes are now gone, and ;) I am NOT bringing any more of those in here again.
Plum glasses eh @Lynn49 - we'd make a great pair. Mine are purple.
I have an appt. to pick them up tomorrow. :)
Caramel bars, sound decadent. Ok, now I'm hungry for something sweet.
Was pretty good shift yesterday lol. The manager gave me 4 gallons of paint he wanted tinted on his way out at 3pm which I did. After that the phone never rang and no one came in. I had 1 hour of computer training to complete and some cleaning.
