Good morning, everyone!!
@walkonby, oh, I'm so happy you got to see Dory!! You're so right about that baby Dory voice...so precious! I wonder who voiced it? Sometimes it's a grown-up who can make baby voices like that, but don't tell me!! I don't want to know...lol...
Ita: I also want to see it again! Did you catch, "Through The Looking Glass"? I missed it, but DD is going to get it so that we can watch it.

@22hicks, nothing like those old(ish) movies, is there? So innocent, no thrashing around of CGI monsters/vampires...although, :redface:, I did enjoy those Transformer movies...DH and I often watch those old black and white movies, loved the Thin Man series with William Powell and Mirna Loy.

@Natalka, I hope you can catch a nap later today, or this morning and find some relief somehow from your sleepless nights.

Okay! So, off to make SIL's b'day cake he requested for his b'day dinner on Saturday at camp, the "Too Much Chocolate Cake" from Allrecipes which never fails me in my bundt pan, and he also requested my deconstructed crock-pot cabbage rolls; we'll all be at camp, so that'll be a nice side. I'm baking his cake today because although I have an oven at camp, I've never tried it yet, so I don't know if it's running hotter or cooler than it should be. I'll freeze the cake, it'll be perfect for Saturday when I thaw it.

lol!!! DH and I watched the whole game!! It was really sad with Colorado having so many injured players and when I voiced my concern about that DH says " yeah after we win Wednesday's afternoon game I'll send them a Get Well Soon card!! " ha ha
Lovely day today, as far as the doggy walking went at least. The streets here are like a ghost town, I'm guessing school is finally done? Tough to even know when your kiddies are grown.
@Lynn49 have a fab time at camp and that cake sounds so good! ( lucky ducky SIL! ) The cabbage rolls too, dang it NOW I want to make them! I looked up all the voices of Dory when I got home after seeing the movie because I was very curious about who did that baby voice. I will not say her name BUT it is a totally unknown little girl, no prior acting jobs it seems?

We are plodding along to various Dr. appts today regarding DH's poor back. Nothing more fun than having to get an xray done when you can't move.
Soon long weekend time for many of you hard workers!! Enjoy!!

Oh, @walkonby , I'm happy you didn't tell me that the voice was some gal who "makes" voices for kids in tv shoes, movies, commercials. The fact that it was a real little girl....I think she aught to be on a talk show!! :)

I'd forgotten about your poor DH's back and I hope the x-ray shows only that with time, it'll heal itself. On the up-side, at least he got to sleep in after the game last night!:cheesygrin: Alll kidding aside, I hope he gets well very soon!!

Well, the cake turned out brilliantly as usual...so easy it's embarassing!, so I'll cling-warp and foil it and feeze it until I thaw it out on Saturday. Just prior to serving, I nuke a contained of dark chocolate frosting and drizzle it all over. Makes me look like a genius!:tongue:

Walks, don't blame you for now craving those un-rolled cabbage rolls; the house smells so drool-worthy. When the cabbage/onion/pork/garlic/pepper mixture cools I'll put that into a big freezerbag to thaw out on Saturday to add to the rice I'll make in the crockpot! My work here is done!! So I'm nibbling red twizzlers. Do I know how to celebrate or what?!!:rolleyes1:

Thanks, Jays! The cake is drop-dead easy, but don't tell anyone...and the cabbage rolls are "deconstructed"..ie: not rolled! :) Easy-peasy!

Good fine morning, everyone!!

Off to meet with my surgeon for my knee replacement date, then off to camp! There's a fire-ban right now, so perhaps no fireworks, however, if we get lots of rain tomorrow, it may still happen. Otoh, there's more to do tomorrow there, I can do without the fireworks. Should be a great weekend!! We're also celebrating our darlin' SIL's b'day on Saturday! :occasion18:
