Good morning, everyone!
We got home last night from DH's Tuesday appt...he had 2 basal cancer spots removed (face and noggin), no pain, and will fly back in 2 weeks to have the stitches taken out and checked over. After his appt, we shopped at the Eaton's Centre downtown, and oh sadness...since the Bay was chopped up, it's just not the same at all! I didn't buy a thing there; besides all the sales are for flimsy summer left-over stuff that I can sew myself and much better too, so there. :tongue: Yesterday we visited Kensingon Market area...phhht. Then on the way home, the Vaughan Mall, where I only bought a pair of earrings and a couple of bracelets at Saks Off 5th, then hit the Tanger Outlet mall where I did the most shopping of all! No need to go any farther south than that...it's double the size it once was.
So, that's all the news that's fit to print. My brother, who has been recovering from his toe amputation has once again been hospitalized for rapid heart-rate, confusion, and now a blister on his other foot. This is just going from bad to worse...he's being transferred to the Peterborough hospital today. Damn diabetes.

, it sure was steamy down there, but we're spoiled...air conditioned car, to air conditioned hotel, to air conditioned shopping, then home where the temp here was 84, so on went the air conditioner here, too. I hear that relief will arrive on Friday for people who don't have those resources to keep cool; we wanted summer, but not this!

I'm leaving first thing tomorrow morning for my niece's wedding. I hope it doesn't rain.
I think she's going to make a beautiful bride, but maybe I'm just a little prejudice.

@22hicks, your niece is gorgeous and your outfit sounds lovely! I hear ya about shoes with a dressy outfit: I was looking for a pair of low-heel dressy pumps and you think I could find anything that fit properly with a low heel?! Nope!
So I'll be doing the same thing as you come September for our niece's wedding: dressy outfit, low shoes or slight platform slings. I don't think my new red Crocs sandals will suffice. :tongue:

So, I am back in the sarcoma fighting saddle. My lung tumours have shown signs of growth, so I am back on the drug. It did seem to be effective in preventing the tumours from growing. I'm just sad, because I was starting to feel normal again & this has knocked me down. The drugs I take alongside this chemo drug are also not so nice. But, for now this is my plight. I am sill going to rise up to this fight. Also just waiting for my cataract surgery on my right eye. I hope it will be sooner rather than later. I was pretty surprised to get this news & I'm dealing with it as best I can.

Loocie, hope everything goes good for you. Not good to hear about all these terrible things. So many people I know lately have been having some issues. I haven't even paid any attention to my ex girlfriends Facebook page. But for some reason I checked it couple days ago to find out she has ms. :flowers:

hicks, enjoy your trip and the celebration; weddings are always fun!
This is the first year that we haven't had a family wedding in ages - there are four nieces seriously and long-term dating that I'm sure any/all of them could happen at any time.
My son is 24, and some of his friends have already gotten married, and a few just getting engaged. The couple, whose home he lives in the basement of, are going to get engaged this weekend - the man has been planning it in secret, a trip away to Banff. Milan said it's been interesting to be in this situation to be the confidant of the man to help with ideas, and keep it secret, because he's so close to both of them - the couple has been together seven years.
Well, on with the day - hope it's a good one for everyone!
