Aw, happy mice made me smile!
Well, thankfully I was able to get a few hours' sleep. Unfortunately, I had to wake up my husband at around 4:30 to help me with bandaging.
So, amidst other general things I usually have to deal with (that come and go), I have an infection on my right shin/lower leg. Hmmm... same leg last August, which is kinda odd. I'm using a serious antibiotic cream and/or ointment, and wrapping it with gauze like the doc said to do last year. But there are these crazy shooting pains which come and go - same as last year. It's not been great to deal with.
After I got up, I had just made coffee and the power went out for about 45 minutes - so I listened to the portable radio (yes, still have a few of those, thank goodness!) - with a personal fan aimed at my face (wow, that was a great purchase!) because it's hot here already.
I was thinking, well what could I do - considered baking - duh, no power. Well, I'd just surf the net on my tablet - duh, no power means no wi-fi. Luckily games still work on the tablet, so I played Kaiser for a while.
Wow, did Vader the cat ever jump when the power came back on, because the a/c made quite the noise starting up - she just tore a strip into the living room. Poor kitty!
Thanks, everyone, for the good wishes for my BIL.
And the day goes on...

Aw,
@Natalka
, so sorry to hear about your leg infection; if it doesn't start clearing up shortly, I hope you get to a doctor. Yes, how odd indeed, that it's in the same area as last autumn..keep well, my Friend.
As for mice...maybe this happy mouse will make you smile, too...I love at the end when 'training' time is over, she continues to spin on her little roof...what a sweet little critter...

Good morning!
Well, of course yesterday messed up my today - I ended up napping off and on in the evening, just couldn't help it.
So my day started at midnight.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning, quick note: leaving for camp after my chiro appt on Thursday, so I'm getting my grocery list/recipes together so that Hubby can shop for them before we leave.
Still 'ouchy', but continuing with chiro every day this week until Friday when we'll be at camp; I sure hope I'm walking better than I am now. After my appt yesterday we both went to CT to pick up a new rainfall shower head so I walked through the store, through the cash, and by the time I got to the doors, I couldn't take one more step without stopping. Which I did about 4 times until we reached our van parked in the handicapped space near the door!! THIS is getting way out of hand and I'll be asking my chiropractor why the pain in my hips is so out of control. Not a happy camper,.
No rain here, but evidently it did rain overnight, dull, dreary...not impressed with August, either.:-~
You all take care and have a lovely day!

Thank you,

...yep, it's going to have to be a quiet weekend for me, but I'm telling ya...I'm no great supporter of chiropractors and all the promises they make to cure everything, but both my DD and I wouldn't do without them when our back's "go out" on us! I've had 5 (6?) treatments after 3 weeks of pain and I'm feeling almost back to normal finally! I still get twinges, but at least I can put weight on that left leg and step on it without yelling. Even my chiropractor, after he did his treatment, said I must be getting better, I've stopped swearing at him... I think that's a step forward..
And YES, the JAYS are amazing!! DH said he gave up on them last night, and they won, and again today!!!
DARE we hope??!!

So great about the Jays!
Lynn, fab news that you are doing so well! So what's the chiro doing that is so magical? Like, as opposed to physio? I wanna know! :)
