mine does that too (the chippits eating thing) when he wants a sweet fix. i read (of course on pinterest) a recipie where you melt a ton of chocolate then pour it onto a sheetpan and sprinkle almonds - or i guess whatever you'd like and then let it cool. then you snap it apart and make almond bark. gonna for sure try this this christmas
^^^ my Dad's assistant used to do that with white chocolate and give it to us every year at Christmas time - can you guess what was always gone first?! Basically chocolate covered almonds but with more chocolate, YUM!
i loveeeeeeeeeeee chocolate covered almonds. a friend of mine made a batch of something similar 1 year and she sprinkled smashed up candy canes into it.
