Last night we took a walk down memory lane and went through a photo album of our first trans-Atlantic cruise. It was 6 years ago right about this time. Rome - ahhh! Ahh!- the Italian pizza!

I decided against the 40 inch rca TV's at shoppers or no frills. Rca have been know to crap out way too fast. Also my tiny room is tiny lol. So I reserved a 32 inch tv at best buy to pick up tonight after work. You can reserve online and they put aside for you for 24 hours. It was $169 with Roku built in. Total was $219 because of the tax and $24 enviro fee.

Just a quick drive by; on my way back to the hospital.
My sister had a heart attack, and emergency surgery. She's in cardiac intensive care. Praying she'll pull through.
@22hicks , it sucks when we all get to a certain age, and things start not working for us....I will be praying for her... I'm starting to think they should have offered us a warranty like they do on new cars... So far today is pretty good... Made it down to the garage and back on stitches, that almost did me in, but here we are for a bit... I'm stuck with the picc @lyn49 till at least Jan13th, that's how long I am on the intravenous for. Well, kids, it is Friday... It's my 3rd week since surgery, so I am making it past the 3rd week... that has never happened... so please keep everything crossed...

Well, I think our Grandson is done wrt his Christmas gifts. We're only allowed 2, so we picked up the new Skylanders Imaginators Starter Set (he has all the others), and 2 other characters...I can't wait to see them in action, lol....!! I love watching him and his Daddy play those games! I love the order/pick-up at Best-Buy! Good for them saving me delivery fees!

So, I picked up my tv last night. So far I love it and the picture looks great. Also the Roku interface is good. Right above all the Roku apps are 3 thumbnails where you can easily click between the cable box and other connected devices. When you first set up the tv and hook up all the hdmi and av cables the setup asks what you have connected to each port.
One thing I noticed when I hooked my media box directly to my internet instead of wifi the speed was through the roof. I am on a 80Mbps plan. On wifi I was getting 30-40Mbps but when I direct connected to my modem I was getting just under 100Mbps. ;)
Oh, @22hicks , I'm so sorry your Sister is having such a difficult time right now. I hope and pray for strength for her to fight through this and for her medical team to do everything necessary and more to help her. Bless her.Quote:
