FINALLY!! Nice to see you back here, Dan!! And CONGRATULATIONS, Hon~~!
She's one lucky girl!!
Soooooo.....how'd you pop the question? When? Where? Details!!! :)
Mornin' everyone....off to babysit grandson (for 3 days since 'the kids' have returned to work)....we'll be catatonic by the weekend! He's a really well-behaved kiddo, but BUSY!!
We're off to see Monsters Inc later, just to get him out...tomorrow skating at the arena indoors, Friday, Science North...see? Catatonic!! :)
Have a great day, everyone! On the run again!!
My exciting plans today are taking DS to the doctor's. Ours was un-available but she works with others doctors and one had a cancellation for 11am.
He's been sick for 12 todays and his fever wont break. I hate being an overreactive parent since there's usually nothing they can do for a cold/flu but now it's time. It's been too long. I keep thinking he's on the mend for a day or so and then he gets worse.
I'm pretty sure they'll just say tylenol and rest but I'm taking him just in case.
Nice! Summer is so popular, so if you want this year you better start booking! lol
Are you having a local wedding?
My BIL is getting married August long weekend up at future SIL's family cottage in Northern Ontario. We'll have a 20+ hour drive this summer. lol. I'm already worried! hahaha
Thank you Lynn :) and I'm the lucky one ;)
Morning of the 31st, she was staying with her parents in the country for the holidays.
I had been visiting with my parents the days between christmas and new years.
I drove up, bright and early and walked into the house, she was still asleep.
I went into her room and woke her up. I had her winter jacket and boot ready at the door, and helped her into them, and walked her out to the pond on the property.
So there she was, in her PJs, winter jacket, boots, out by the pond, in the snow, no one around, peaceful and quiet.
I told her how much I love her, and down to one knee I went :)
lynn, i love science north. we take the girls to sudburry every february and stay at the hilton suites there and have a great time! cant wait to do it again!
lola, dd1 had a fever for 13 days..its awful! they'd tell me to give her tylenol but how much tylenol can a kid take!? 1 of the dr's recommended giving her a probiotic for her tummy to help with all the tylenol/advil. as for the 20 hr drive i'd be stressed too. even driving to North Bay which is 3 hrs away makes me stress lol
dan..thats so romantic!
Congrats Dan! Gorgeous ring! And that sounds like a lovely proposal! I just love hearing engagement stories.. :)
I know right? He's had 12 days of tylenol and I feel like such a bad parent. lol. I bought 3 Infant Tylenol boxes at WM and 3 of Children's Advil for DD and the cashier looked at me like I was some horrible mother who drugs her kids! lol. He's been drinking a lot so at least I know he's not dehydrated but still worried...
Yeah, 20 hours with a 2 and a 4 year old. EEEEEEP! I was hoping to rent an RV but they seem costly and I dont know about car seat regulations. I emailed the ministry of transportation months ago with no response. I might go in and ask but I doubt they will know. My DREAM plan is to rent a decently priced RV and drive at night while they are sleeping. I could sit in back with them while DH drives. They'll wake up and we'll be there! Oh how I wish!
The cottage is so remote our only other option is to fly to Winnipeg and then rent a car and drive 5 hours. Cuts the drive down a lot but it's more money and more hassle (airports with 2 kids). ugh. lol
Congrats Dan:)
Congrats Dan!!! You are a real romantic :)
