Good Morning All!
I am back!!! 18 days of vacation was not long enough lol back to work now...but everyone is the office looks so refreshed!
well....i guess i should start working...LoL
have a great morning everyone. back later this afternoon.
what a day.. not the best.. we all slept in.. deciding where to shoo em off to school for a couple of hours or make use of the cold miserable day and get them to clean their rooms. oh joy.
The upside is, it's the best private school in the area. If she went to the local state school it's a 70% drop out rate by grade 11. The local private school is good but not as good as the one she's at.
If she was eligible for the English high school, it's about the same time-wise for travelling.
well im going to have 2 gone.. maybe i'll tackle his room anyways. prob get more done with him gone.
Hope your day looks up Jennifer!! Big hugs to you girlie :)
Lola, you can have Adam... I just like to look at him ;)
Vee, nice to have you back girl!
Welcome back!

Tell us about your celebration! :)
I would LOVE my kids to go to a private school but it's just not an option financially :( I've always loved the idea of homeschooling but I don't have the patience!!!! I love my children but I enjoy the "me time" while they're gone. I do use a lot of homeschooling websites to get ideas for things to do with my kids... they're actually a great resource for ideas!!
My husband found it okay when we went to one, the champagne was the biggest draw! Mind you it was a small city, so not a huge gathering. Still, being one of the few men there, he was lauded just for being there!
Wowsers, don't you have a date set? Around here, you get engaged and plan the wedding right away, and are engaged just as long as it takes to get a date to book the church and venue, etc. For us, it was eight months - we were lucky with the venue, for sure, lots of places it's a year or more to book. The church was no problem, husband's brother was the priest, so he and two other priest friends did our ceremony.
Vaistinu se Rodi! Thank You Natalka!
We celebrated at home, I made cabbage rolls and a Serbian thick bean soup for dinner after church on Jan 6 - we went to church, it was packed! Got the "badnjak" (tree branch that was blessed by priest), we stayed for the burning of last years badnjak, we brought ours so that was fun, there was some tea served to those who stayed to burn there badnjak.
Yesterday we went to BF's parents house for more cabbage rolls, cheese and spinach strudel, roasted pig Mmmm and dessert.
How was yours?
Oh, Vee, sounds awesome!
We were all sick, unfortunately, but still ate heartily! We have a scaled-back version since it's only the three of us.
Mmm... roasted pig! It's been quite a few years since I've had that!
well ive managed to convince DS2 not to take off.. and to work on his room. we did half his room together.. my gracious half of it was clothes.. clean clothes. he's working on under his bed right now.. he's a teenager.. ive' given him some 'space'.
then were going to vacuum and move his bed. them work on the other side.
maybe now that his dresser is reachable he can put away those clothes. lol. poor kid he tries so hard. but just does not have that oh so helpful organizing gene...
baby steps .. baby steps.
