And I'm back! :)
Was without power most of yesterday. I didn't care in the day but when I got home at 6pm and it still wasn't on? GAH! Had to get the kids ready and put to bed with the emergency flashlight. lol. Glad we had dinner plans and went out to dinner!
Thankfully everything was back up by 7pm.
Sorry to hear that Lola, I hope it wasn't too cold. We can manage not to bad with the power off as far as food, and preparing kids for bed, but if it's cold and you don't have a pellet or wood burning stove, it's horrible.
Was it from the nasty winds yesterday, Lola? We had some insane winds but we never lost power. We have a pellet stove but it plugs in so we'd be screwed if the power went out.
It's definitely not as windy today but man is it cold!!
It was chilly but not to bad. Just bundled the kids in warmer pjs and put an extra blanket on. I talked to hydro and they said they had been working on it for a few hours and expected it to be back up within the hour so I wasn't worried.Quote:

We have a fireplace in the basement but dont use it. DH wants to put an insert in this summer to make it a woodstove. We had a woodstove at our old house and it was great, although I dont "tend" to the fire. That's DH's job so if he's not here, I stick to the furnace. lol

Well moved most of my boxes and bags downstairs to the front door. Just a few bags and couple boxes left and dresser, sofa book shelf, tv etc. Those items I will need help with later lol. My cousin and his cousin will help me move at 5pm. Tonight for dinner will be pizza pizza which is 1/2 block from my new apartment. I have a coupon buy 1 meatball sandwich get 1 for $1.00.. ;)
My posts may be limited to this hello today...I have been responding to emails for an hour now and need to get off the computer. So happy it is the weekend. I will be busy preparing for a baby shower I am hosting for my SIL and new niece tomorrow. Lots to do between now and then. Talk soon.

Morning all! Got a call this morning.. I am going in for surgery on Tuesday morning at 11am. They had a cancellation & called me to ask if I would like to get in that quick. I obliged, but man am I ever scared!

After I move in(wont unpack too much stuff tonight lol) I might go see the movie Warm Bodies 9.20pm showing. The movie theatre is about 2 blocks from the apartment. :)
