Chat-A-Thon Thread

Morning, all! Lovely dinner yesterday at DD's home and the 3-layer cake our grandson and his Daddy made was SO cute! Yep, 3 layers of cherry cake (mix), but frosting was only allowed on the top layer according to the little guy as "we could see ALL the layers", lol, and of course lots of sprinkles! He put strawberry pie filling between the layers....did this dieter have any? Oh, you bet!

So, hubby's still sleeping with his cold/cough and Jenny and I are enjoying our morning coffee.

I hope everyone has a restful, restorative day today! Here, it'll be another NCAA day of probably more upsets....Go Michigan!

Dan, yes so happy it's going to be a 4 day week this week and next week too. Yahooo.

busy weekend here. had gymnastics early yesterday morning, then we went to a local farm for an easter egg hunt, rides, etc. the girls were so tired last night.. as were mommy and daddy :)
DH had to work today so it's just me and the girls today. got up early and did groceries and was back home by 9:30. cleaned the house, did ump-teen loads of laundry, baked a carrot cake for next weekend (hopefully it freezes well, never made 1 before). taking a breather then i'll start making meatballs for spaghetti tonight. DH made a couple loafs of bread last night so it should be really yummy. hope everyone's having a nice sunday :)

Sounds kind of like my day. We did groceries early this morning, then home for snack and then nap. When DS woke up I started the dreaded laundry.

Now the kids are watching some TV. :)

We're having burgers and baked potatoes tonight. I bought a bit of Mac &Cheese at the deli counter in case DD refuses to eat the potato. She could eat Mac & Cheese every day. Ack.

I'm trying to find a decently priced 2 tier fruit stand. Might go check HomeSense tomorrow. Like having lots of fresh fruit for the kids but I never have room for it on the counter.

Hey all! We went to see the Easter bunny today too and I have to say... I was kind of disappointed :( They were supposed to have an easter egg hunt, craft table, face painting, etc. Well, all they had was the easter bunny and the face painting, none of the other stuff :( Oh well, I got a cute pic of my little guy sitting on her (it was a girl bunny!) lap!! DS#1 wouldn't go, he told me he was "too old" :bawling:
