thanks LTUC. im sure he will.
well tackled half my daily chores, 2 bathrooms scrubbed, kitchen done, having small break to relax my back before i tackle living room/dining room. just vacuuming and moving furniture but still not easy, working up a good sweat. windows are all open and love listening to the birds sing. can't believe it isn't even lunch yet. i'll be able to sit back and enjoy my afternoon at lesiure :) hm just hope hubby notices it all, he's sleeping while im cleaning.
 the cherry blossoms are in bloom on THE busiest weekend of my life
and i've never been to see them!!!! :(
will have to re-arrange some as i was promised i'd see them this year lol
Vee, thanks for the link - it must be amazing to see them in person.
Our big sign of spring is birds, birds, birds! Lovely to have so many different kinds singing and chirping all day. There are also some during the night. Mind you, I don't like the ravens swooping in the front yard and across the street - it can get kinda creepy - mind you, the cats love it!
Babka dough is done, just rising! Husband is home for the day, so he was kind enough to go out in search of a ham!
just had breakfast with hubby on the patio, off to shower, conquer a load or two of laundry, make the bed, dust. then the LR/DR. Oh and put supper in the CP.
Oy - I went to check if my breads had risen enough - they looked fine, nice rounded tops (they are baked in cans) - took them out gently so I could brush eggwash on them - and all four of them FELL, they just caved, OMG! I've never, ever had this happen before! What else to do but put on the egg wash, put them in the oven - and hope they at least taste okay.
However, I'll have to make more because I need a 'good' one for the basket!
I guess there's a first time for everything to happen... don't know why, though. The dough was nice after first rising, and when I shaped it. I think maybe the only difference could be it felt 'softer' like more delicate than usual after it rose in the cans - anyone know? Maybe I need to make the dough stiffer next time...
Sorry Nat... Wish I knew how to help...but truth be told I've never made bread in my life.
I'm a great cook (my Mom was a chef) just never baked. So for baking I just stick to the basics, cookies, muffin, rice krispies squares etc. Nothing as adventurous as making bread.
I do understand your need though for getting a "good" one to take to church to be bless.
Thanks, Luv - it might sound odd, but the 'ladies of the church' do tend to look at everyone elses' baskets, and - sigh - they do comment amongst themselves... Everyone has them all lined up on tables side by side, so you see those of the others.
same here Nat. sorry hun that sucks so much work.. hope the next one turns out for ya... well off to drown my poor soul then conquer the rest of my day.
Spent the morning at the police station and now I have a headache but need to go pull weeds.
maybe I will go shopping instead.....
Just getting ready to go fishing
lol dan
I'm just sayin'...:)
speaking of fishing...
Dan will not be present next week.
He will be either sitting on his patio, enjoying the sun, and having a drink...or...out in the boat, on the lake, fishing.
