Hi all!
Hope everyone is enjoying their Summer so far! :)
Only 1 day left of school. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. lol. Have lots of fun things planned but with 2 very energized little ones I'm worried they'll wear me out in 2 weeks, let alone 2 months!
Hi Lola :hello: we've missed you around these parts :)
Nat, yes indeed :) that's what next year is for...working my tail off and saving up both time and money!
Thanks Dan! :)
May/June is always insanely busy here. Birthdays and end of school - Class trips, class gifts, teachers gifts, etc. all to do.
Thankfully all is done. Now to enjoy the Summer! :)
Just spray painted my reclining patio chair (was looking old and grimy) so I'm looking forward to relaxing in it.
I get three weeks a year too. It was just the way things worked out this year, that I needed to take the two weeks off in May and since I'm the 'green' one here in our department, I get last pick of dates off during peak vacation time, so I took a week in November.
That's nice of your company to give you an extra week for the anniversary. Wish our place did that here.
Its only for the 5th and 10 year lol and so on..but it falls at a perfect time since I want to take 3 weeks off during the wedding few days before 2 weeks honeymoon and a few days after we get back. plus I can use a few days to make extra long weekends for myself haha
that's what i'm planning on doing too, take some time before and after.
my bosses and the directors here are good with me banking time here though, so i can start banking up time if i don't have enough vacation days to take time off :)
alright i'm out...going home and enjoying the patio.
have a wonderful rest of the afternoon and evening everyone :)
Tonight, I want to tell Linda that she is an amazing woman.
She will always have place inside my heart, because she is just so special.
Stay strong. Live long. Love forever.
real life means kids off school and Mr P on vacation...I want my internet life back....
As athiest/agnostics, we go for ..some people believe that they will go to Heaven/afterlife if they have been good( cuts out questions about Hitler, Lenin et al ), some believe that you are re-incarnated as a higher/lower being based on your behaviour .
For myself..I believe when I die..that's it! no afterlife in a nice place or a hot place. No do-overs..eternal peace.
That doesn't mean I deride any-one else's beliefs..I've always told my children that you never attack some-one beliefs even when they don't understand yours.
