Chat-A-Thon Thread

Morning everyone. Just popping in to say hi. My internet connection is spotty at best here. I'm having a wonderful time. The weather has been amazing with the exception of yesterday. We got hail that pummeled my plants :eek: going to try and repair the pots this morning.

The sun is shining and my dd is coming for dinner tonight and going to spend more time with me and my grandson. We had a full house (or should I say trailer) this weekend, it was fabulous! Resting up this week as we have another full trailer this weekend.

I'm prepping meals during the week so I can enjoy all my company on the weekend. This month is going so fast, it's already the 9th. Not sure where the time goes.

What a disaster last night was! the Food Basics by my house was evacuated the roof collapsed - thankfully no one was hurt.
Traffic was terrible this am 2 hours to get to work usually takes me 40 min

Morning all...5 hours round trip commute...working from home today.
hope everyone is having a good day...

Holly - 80% of the city was without power. Highways were flooded (some as high as ppls chests)
My inlaws street was a river - cars covered. It was insane! We had 110mm of rain in 2 hours - they say that is more then a months worth.

Glad your home and safe- there calling for more rain too but nothing like yesterday

One of my co-workers it took him 7 hours to get home last night. He was trapped on the subway underground for 3 hours bc they stopped all subways then when they let them go there was no shuttle bc streets were flooding so he started to walk that took him another 3 to walk home he said he swam on some streets haha

geez by the time they get home its time to go back to work.. that was awful.. i managed to fill a couple of buckets of water for the 'off' days,

hope everyone stays safe today. another storm expected but??

relaxing day today. just fixing some curtains in prep for the kitchen being done this week.

I was lucky. I got to a station that still had power, when I noticed the TV screens say that power was out to at least half of the system...
I decided to walk the rest of the way home. Took me another 1.5 hours walking, got soaked...but i got home in relatively good time.

Sheesh, just awful about the rain and TO!

Just finished making two huge pans of meatballs - about six dozen golfball sized - and put them to bake while it's still relatively cool.
Also got bucket pickles prepped and they are marinating.

glad everyone's okay

yesterday was definitely something - my kids were fascinated by the amount of rain - i can't seem to recall the last time it was this heavy. Our lights flickered a couple of times, but the power didn't go off - the worse time for my lil ones was when I guess Rogers was having problems and treehouse and disney jr wasn't showing.
