morning everyone! dh is taking dd1 to school this morning as I have to babysit earlier than usual. not too much planned today, housework, spend sometime outside later when it warms up a bit and when dd1 gets home from school we're going to make some homemade applesauce. looks easy enough to do. hope everyone has a good day
Here's a great recipe in case you need one...it's received fantastic reviews...

There's even a video showing how to do it!

The commercial confused me for a second, lol...but it doesn't take much to do that these days!! :-~
Good luck, have fun and enjoy!!!
lynn, great minds think alike. that's the 1 I found yesterday! i made 1 years ago and it was chef Michael smiths recipe but i found it very cinnamon-y. i'll let you know how sarah's turns out!
Hi All,

Great minds, indeed...I've only ever had one failure from that site, and oodles, just oodles of great recipes that actually worked out! If you ever have a large can of pumpkin at hand, I have a fail-proof pumpkin muffin recipe that our grandson just gobbles up!! I just made another batch today as per his request...it makes 4 dozen muffins, so I usually have some frozen for those requests...:)
I'd love to hear how Sarah's turned out...Our DD loves Chef Michael and if I ever find one particular cookbook on sale at Chapters I'll be picking it up as a little extra for her for Christmas..:)
Well, decent news to report here...
Recently my husband was in a collision (he's fine!) which totalled his van. It was old, but it served his needs for work...
It was appraised yesterday and we got the final number, very happy with it - and even though it was a chain reaction accident, he was assessed fault, so once the deductible comes off, we're pleased with what's left. Plus, the insurance person is rounding it up to a nice even number!
And so far this week I've won a banana costume and $15 - so maybe the tide is turning! :)
that IS such fantastic news Nat.. you so deserve something going your way.. now to finish off your good streak of luck.. lets hope you find a place soon.
Great news Natalka, it's about time something positive happened :-)
that's great nat!! glad to hear your hubby is okay.
lynn - the applesauce turned out really well! I used brown sugar instead of white sugar as per some of the reviews. I think next time i'd use a little less cinnamon for the kids sake. I really enjoyed it but the kids said it was, and I quote, "too tasty".
DH got good news from the oncologist today - everything is stable. Went to choir practice tonight and managed to "strain" my voice - singing the hymns from the Christmas Cantata - which I won't even be around to sing! I should "warm up" before I go next week.
Got a HUGE pumpkin pie at Costco today and picked up 2 more Christmas Gifts.
Picked up the letter which I need for Rev. Canada.- Almost got lost in the "bowels" of the hospital finding the Health Records dept.
I told dh when I got out that they should really let you leave a trail of crumbs so you will be able to find your way back out!
Expecting a dear friend and my db for Thanksgiving Dinner so we now have most everything together for the feast!
