long day here so far. dd1 was up coughing most of the night (she's been coughing for about a week) and hasn't had any appetite really. took her to the walk in clinic bright and early this morning at 7am. she had a low grade fever...they tried to do a strep test but that was just horrible. she kept smacking the nurses hands away and screaming. so the dr said she has 1 of 3 things...strep, pneumonia, or a cold...? i'm to watch her for a high fever and count her breathing when she's sleeping. came home and gave her some Tylenol - she's back to her self somewhat. amazing stuff that Tylenol!
so far I've made 2 batches of cranberry sauce and baked 4 apple crisps - 2 are just plain apple and the other 2 have some homemade cranberry sauce poured over the apple mixture and then the oatmeal crumble on top. they look sinful. I think we're going to take 1 across the street to the elderly couple that live there. my kids just adore them. we also carved a small pumpkin and put a fall mum in it to bring up for the table to my inlaws. just have to scoot to the dollar store and get some ribbon to make a bow and hide an ugly spot on the pumpkin I didn't see at the store. pick up a couple thanksgiving cards and we should be good!
"Rollie Pollie" is over so I guess I should head out to the dollar store now. Have a nice afternoon everyone!

great day so far here, slept in.
dh took me to Michael's and to Wm Sc to grab some of those magazines with the coupons.
then went shopping.. picked up some great deals.
now to enjoy a quiet night with my son. the oldest has gone on his first 'date' will see how this goes.

Ooooo...I never thought to use my cranberry jelly for that, but YUM!! I've used the seedless raspberry jam I find at FB, I think its their Selections brand...it has such a deep flavour, but it's difficult to find sometimes...I'm doing the pumpkin pie tomorrow...love baking and cooking!!Quote:
