How did you handle it? Must be hard..my mom had a hard time when I left...now when she leaves my place I have a hard time haha

Vee, he decided it was a good time to leave when we were moving to a new place - so he moved out two weeks before we did. He's in a huge room (like huge!) in the basement of a house a friend owns, and lives with his gf upstairs - and he's liking being there.
Of course I miss seeing and talking with him daily (and those amazing bearhugs!), but he's been around a lot helping us out.
He's quite far across the city from us - across the river and then some, but we are near major routes, so it really doesn't take that long to travel.
I know it must be SO nice to have a good visit with your mom, then have to say goodbye for a while... do you Skype?

She was here for a week, it was nice coming home after work and having her there. No my mom isn't very computer savvy, she knows how to turn on the Serbian internet tv and that's it lol We talk twice a day though by phone. :) Eventually when we have kids, she will move here to be closer she was actually talking about moving closer after our wedding so we will see.Quote:

My husband isn't an internet dude either, but he knows how to Skype to Serbia, and I don't, lol!
They usually do a group one - three brothers in SK, one in AB, one in US, sister in Germany, two sisters and Pani Matka in Serbia - never all at the same time yet, though!

MrsSunshine - oy, I have the opposite problem - husband wants it way warmer than I do! I say, dude, I'm already in a tanktop and shorts, you can put on a heavier sweater!!!
Same discussion I have with my DH...in the summer I turn the central air to around 64, and now, the heat down to about 68 at most. He'd be happy with it at 72 all day! Whoa! I said the same thing: you can put a sweater on, but there's nothing more I can take off!! heh-heh-heh....He sees the wisdom of my ways...although he isn't terribly pleased wearing a sweater in the house when it's 80 outside and freezing inside...oops! :)Quote:

Earlier in the day, CBC caught me on the street, on camera, asking me about the old "Sam's" spinning record sign and where it should go. I said that I thought they had bigger problems...lol. I doubt I made it on-air...hahaha!

Good morning, Natalka! Oooooohhhh, yes it was! Quite the....um...eye-opener!I couldn't believe the 3 of them thought it was a good idea! They didn't know it was a gay strip club....gah!!!! Thank goodness my DD was blocking my view (most of the time) of the performances!:yikes: But they were accustomed to having "nice ladies like us" wander in for a glass of wine, lol, and were very nice to us....but Honey? Never again!!!
I hear ya about the coffee, so I'm off to turn the coffee-maker on; hubby and Jenny are still fast asleep....
