Potential Chocolate Promo Problems (renamed)

My store said I wouldn't get the points if I had already participated before the changes so I left my 4 chocolate bars there. It does say throughout the promotional period so I didn't want to chance it.

They were aware of what they were doing, their marketing department personnel are not stupid.

I wouldn't say they were stupid, but I don't think they put a lot of forethought into these specials. I've never heard of another company that has had so many revisions and changes to their promotions in such a short timeframe.

Well, if nothing else, they know how to create drama...

I forsee some upcoming redemptions on diabetic supplies or a lot of children with attention issues in their near future! Those things have expiry dates!

The other thought I had was that I wonder if it's someone in one of the student associations in that area. Some of them are a wee bit crazy... (speaking from experience).

With that many chocolate bars bought, I wonder if they have 1) a store to sell it in? 2) will sell it on ebay or Kijiji? 3) have a serious health problem?

Edit: full disclosure: I bought 12 bars for DH since he loves chocolate. I also bought 8 pks of Tassimo coffee since we have a machine.

I called the 1 800 numer about the bp and she told me that I can purchase the product and my points will add up on sept.28

that weird because when I phone them the lady told me there was not limit that I can purchase how many I wasnt as long they are in a single transaction

Maybe they don't want to limit the points received they just want to stop the redemption s to get them????

^ Thanks for posting the update. I missed the promo and by now I don't think there's any chocolate left for me.

However I got a good deal on caramilk today...paid 49 cents + tax for 1 package of 4 bars. For under $2 I got 12 bars of chocolate and the best part is expiration date shown outside package is sept 20 but inside is Oct 18 so chocolate taste just as fresh.
