First brag ever so bear with me....
Went to Zellers to try and take advantage of the 5.99 of the Scrubbing Bubbles Power Extend & Clean to use my 5$ off scrubbing bubbles Smart Source coupon. Looked and looked and couldn't find them.
Grumbling I went to look in the clothing section since I need some new yoga pants for work. When what to my wondering eyes did appear "CLEARANCE" under which was the "last season (i..e Spring 2011)" collection of their active wear stuff.... including the yoga pants I was interested in. Cue-Beeline! lol Since I'm rather tall I was worried that there wouldn't be any that were my size and would then be long enough. But YES! *fist pump in the store* they have a bunch. Pants are only 15$ each!!!! Score. Then I wander back to stroll the aisles on my way to the cash since I figured I could check if they had the febreeze MIR product. No dice on the febreeze... however afforded me another angle at the clean products shelves and BINGO Scrubbling Bubbles way at the back. Left some coupons for the fresh brushes since I won't use them... hopefully they find a happy home with someone else. Also saw that the toilet gels are on 2/$6... coupled those with the B1G1 free aerosol (even though I generally avoid aerosals for environmental reasons... but maybe just once....). Found some Nivea creams on clearance for 1.98 each and used some 2$ coupons.
Then came the nerve racking walk to the cash where I stressed that I'd have troubles using these coupons (past weeks experience making me a little gun shy perhaps... I dunnon). But after asking my cashier if she wanted the coupons with the items or all at the end (she said "end is fine") she proceeded to scan my stuff in. She was a WONDERFUL cashier and took all the coupons easy peasy. I thanked her and she looked surprised.... I told her I had been having probs with other stores and she just said "I'm a consumer too right? So I get it" Could have hugged her!
Here's the break down:
Yoga Pants (reg. 29.97) on sale @ 15.00 each=45.00
Scrubbing bubbles gel (reg 4.29 each) 2/$6=6.00
nivea intense nourishing hand cream 2x1.99- 2x$2 coupon= +0.02
birthday card for co-worker 0.99
Scrubbing Bubbles Power Sprayer (reg 8.99) on sale for 3x5.99-3x$5 coupon= 2.97 or 0.09 each!
Scrubbing Bubbles Aero Bathroom cleaners 2x3.00= FREE on account of the buy 1 gel, get 1 aerosol free
plastic bag-0.05 (BOO! I wasn't prepared thinking I could carry the SB sprayers...but then well all this other stuff happened lol)
gag gift for co-worker 3.99
total before coupons= 94.90 (incl taxes)
total coupons= $25 & $20 GC I got for Christmas
total OOP= 49.90 (incl taxes)

I know not as awesome as other people are doing but I felt proud of myself and haven't been doing as good with the coupons recently. I tried telling my boyfriend on the phone and he didn't seem as excited as I was
Figured that you guys would understand more the excitement. lol
Whew thanks for reading and letting me do a little virtual happy dance

Good job. my zellers wouldn't let me get the free aerosol with the b1g1 toilet cleaning gel. She said it was stacking. However, other cashiers at Zellers have let me do it. I went next door to LD and got them there. (yay LD)

That's weird... since that's what the coupon says... "Buy One Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Cleaning Gel and get a FREE Scrubbing Bubbles Aerosol" ty deal that they wouldn't take it but lucky you could go to LD.
I still don't understand how it could be "stacking"
Glad that in Ontario we can't stack so it's probably a non-issue for this store.

Yeah she was "older" (maybe in her 50's which I'm not saying is old lol) but I was worried since usually it's the older female cashiers that can be difficult (statistically) but she was great. I'd like to think being friendly about things with her and asking when she wanted the coupons, as well as being organized with them when I got there, might have made a difference. Didn't try printables at the store yet....but this makes me think I might try (though I'm not usually the printable type) just to see if it works
