so i went to walmart today to do all my price matching for the stores that are too far to drive to (food basics, no frills) and didn't bring flyers because i don't have them and also they always have them there anyways... well they didn't have them there today! but the customer service girl said "you don't need flyers anyways - the cashiers do price matching so often that they know". i hate going around the store without the flyers because i never write down the exact sizes of item etc. (i will from now on). anyways, i just guessed and went to the front and the cashier was so nice. i just read her my list of prices and she put everything through. she didn't have a clue if i was telling the truth or not, and i wasn't sure either because i didn't have the sizes written down and didn't have the flyer to look at. anyways, i got some super great deals

got a few of the travel size nivea using the $2 off, which she took the whole amount off of, a bunch of the lunch mates for $1 each plus had $0.50 coupons for each one, cheese whiz 1kg, ketchup, a bunch of crispy minies for $1 each, and a bunch of catelli bistro for $1 using the $1 off coupons, so free.

and to top it all off, me and hubby were about to walk out, and the cashier came running with a bag we had forgotten!

sounds to me like you've got a great Walmart....my local Wally World isn't too bad...but there's this one cashier that I cringe when I see her...

Wow! at my local WM some cashier scrutinized the flyer so much that I am thinking maybe they think I printed those flyer myself. Usually they just read the info and PM, but some read over and over and still have to call someone to get a second opinion. Then there's some who only PM if it's an exact item as pictured even though the flyer specified type and size of products that are on sale. They just ignore the writing only look at the picture.

YES!! that's where i was today!!! the last time i went they would only take $1 off for the nivea (they adjusted the price, which i was fine with) but today they took the whole $2 off. depends on who is there. i LOVE the young girl (forget her name) she has an eye brow ring and she's really friendly and talkative.

I know exactly who you are talking about! She has blonde hair?? She is great! I always try to get her or a couple of the young boys that work there...cause they don't care about anything. Except the really talkative one...he is great but I would worry about using coupons with him. I live in P.E. and haven't had any problems with WM....SDM is another store

ya i have found that some scrutinize like crazy. the other day at Zellers the lady read each flyer, then the product then the flyer then the product, then she needed her glasses and then she didnt know how to take off the coupon so she held up the massive line behind me and then stopped the line next to me to get the other cashiers help! I was kind of embarassed because i've never had that much trouble before! Today at a differnt Zellers the cashier actually cut the items that I PM out of the flyer! I wanted to scream that I wasnt done using the flyer because WM was right across the street. Luckily it didnt mess up any of the other items I was PM
