houseparty.com email answer

Hi... I recently joined houseparty.com and wondered if they really were accepting Canadians. When you fill out an application, it allows to put in province and all so I thought they did. But, my US friends all got the parties I applied for and I didns't so I emailed houseparty and got this reply... I thought it would be of interest to all of you

Thank you for your email. On a party to party basis, Canadians are either "allowed" or "not allowed" (for lack of a better term) to host these events. Unfortunately, for the three events you applied for, residents of Canada were not selected as hosts for the events.

My advice for the future would be to check with us before you apply for an event that you like and we will be able to let you know before hand whether or not the party will accept Canadians.

I've decided to just apply for everything instead of emailing about every item beforehand... it's just easier than having to wait on an email.

btw... I really appreciated the "real" response and not some form response that doesn't even answer the question. they even apologised, how nice it that.

ya they usually dont have a lot of house parties for canadians...I am still waiting for one LOL but someone I know from CA got in on the hershey's houseparty!

You would think that they would and could have these parties set up for ones that Canadians can applu for and ones that we can't.
Sorry I find it irratating that they say to email them EVERYTIME before applying to see if they are allowing Canadians to host certain parties.
Is it really that hard to have different sections for the US and another section for Canadians?
Anywho I'll shut up now Houseparty just irrates me for their lack of organization.
