Went to walmart today to get some ziploc bags using the right at home coupon. Well 2 hours later after arguing politely with the cashier, the CSM, the assistant store manager and finally the co-store manager I finally got my ziploc bags. I was accused of copying the printed coupon which was in full color by the cashier, I was told by the assistant manager that the store was loosing money on the coupon since I was price matching it with the No Frills flyer, I was told by the assistant store manager that when price matching you cannot use a coupon on the price matched product, I was told to leave the store by the cashier which I thought was comical but annoyed me to no end. So I asked the assistant manager to show me in writing on the corporate policy where it states you cannot use a coupon on a priced matched item, well guess what? In big bold black writing on the corporate policy handout that each store has and you have the right to see it clearly states that coupons are allowed on a price match(at this point I felt better but I was still pissed off). So basically the assistant manager was trying to brush me off and make me feel like I got a deal when in fact I was well within my right and the stores policy. Still not feeling satisfied I filed a complaint with customer satisfaction department at Walmart Head Office. Anyways it would be nice to have a copy of that corporate policy which they refused to give me a copy of cause quite frankly Im tired of being treated like a common criminal when using coupons. So I give Wal--t a D- in customer satisfaction.
Im done ranting, I think I feel better

yup regularly felt like i'm stealing by cashiers when i use coupons to get an item nearly free and it's rather frustrating.. the company puts out the coupon to be used.. but when you go to use it your made to feel like your gum stuck to the cashier shoe

Sorry you had such a bad experience....
No, I've never been made to feel that way - when I use my right at home coupons, I print only one each from the site the way you are supposed to, and have never had a problem with any store accepting them.

I know locally, WM has been notified of the pdf of the ziplock coupon so I can see them being extra careful with it

I've had a couple experiences like that. Not to that extent, but I've had cashiers snottily say "Well that would make it free!"
Well DUR angry employee, I CAN subtract, you know.
Best general solution is just to ignore it and move on with a big smile on your face. I often get upset after encounters like that but you have to shrug them off for your own sake.

I have found WM HO take complaints like that very seriously

Well honestly I wouldnt have complained to head office but the cashier insisted that I should complain because she didnt care and she threw the price match flyer back at me and pushed the product at me and it almost fell to the floor. What a strange cashier. Makes you wonder how peoples brain work.

Oh I would definitely complain about the service, just saying given the actual coupon I could see them being more wary

No cashier should shove products at you, that you have paid for. I don't think that cashier wants to work for Walmart for much longer
.
I agree with what FallenPixels said - "Head office takes these complaints seriously"
. Here is the link to their customer service at HO

If you still have your receipt, the store number and cashier identifier is on the receipt. Let them know how the cashier, CSM and store manager treated you.
Can't wait for Tarjay/Target - more competition makes those poor performing stores quake in their boots.

So heres an update. The Store manager called and ofered me a $25.00 gift card for the treatment I recieved this morning. I politely refused the giftcard and told them to award the giftcard to a deserving store employee on my behalf. He then asked if I wished to proceed with the complaint. I said yes of course I do. Hehehe does it sound like they are trying to silence me with money. How dare they!

No when I complained they gave me a GC and still asked if I wanted to take the complaint further, head office follows up with both you and the store to ensure that you are satisfied with the outcome

There should be a section on this site with the corporate policies of these big box stores. Its apparent that the big box stores dont want the common folk to have access to their policies and make them up as they go along until someone confronts them and asks for proof.

Although WM have added a coupon over value note which does not appear on this one, below is a screenshot of the email they sent me with their policy
