Can I ask for some positive thoughts and prayers please..

I had to call hubby at work. Max and I were having a nap. After the nap.. he couldn't "find" his back legs. This could be because of his condition. Or reasons we don't know.

Hubby and Max are at the vet.

I am bawling my eyes out... typing to my coupon family.

I will keep you posted. Thanks in advance for any positive thoughts/prayers sent our way.

Ok so testing out my new iPad

Need some help from those of you that own a iPad or iPhone re: apps - do they ever go on sale? My dad has an iPad and he has a lot of really great apps for DD - trying to find them for her and some are a lot more than he paid for them last Christmas.

Today was our soldiers christmas dinner and the announced a new annual award for a solider who is a inspiration in fitness and sport and bring honor to the CF and it was meeeeeee! there is also a trophy displayed on base with my name engraved on it

Dunno why I didn't think of that! Julie - that's a smart option. Your dad can have 5 authorized devices for his account (each computer and device counts as one).

Yup our whole family piggy backs off each other - we each obviously buys some of our own but no point in buying the same app for all 5 devices

I am happy to report that Max is home with us. New medications. He received a shot of prednisone(sp) to help relieve the swelling in his back. The vet was very insistant that he wasn't in severe pain and the pain he is in can be managed by medications and should pass in a day or two.

Max is a very sleepy right now.. but rest is good!

Oh, I'm so happy to be reading this. Please give him gentle hugs from me.

A couple of years ago, I was supposed to temp foster an 11 year old Lab while he awaited transport to a rescue in TO. The very first night he was here, he couldn't get up at all (I won't get into what I thought of his owner who gave him up after so many years in that condition, grrrr). We ended up adopting him because we knew he was really sick. A friend of mine from BC told me about these injections...can't for the life of me remember the name right now...and it worked wonders. I'll look it up for you in a little bit.

I received a package in the mail yesterday...thank you so much Ceren. It absolutely wasn't necessary but, I'm ever so grateful...thank you . Can I open it now or shall I wait until Christmas?

Here we go. It's Cartrophen injections. I recall having to go into the vet's office every week for a shot for 4 weeks (I don't rememberthe cost though...something like 70$ each time). After the first week, he was walking around with ease already and was even trying to run a bit . It was pretty drastic change from him not being able to get up at all on his own.

This was our dear sweet Toby. DH and DS2 built the ramp the day after he arrived. We were only privileged to have him with us for 6 weeks (he succumbed to pancreatic cancer ) but, he brought us a lifetime of love in that short time.
