Wheee! I guess the Ecoli scare hasn't died down because there is a LOT of discounted meat around! All of these packs of beef were around $4.50 (averaged out), there are seventeen of those and the one pack of chicken which was $6. Each had a $3 discount sticker on them, making each pack of meat about a dollar fifty and the chicken $3.
Regular price $90+! Paid $27.
Ground beef is one thing I'm not afraid to eat because I cook it very well. Please excuse the hideous furniture and carpet.
EDIT: Apparently some people can't see the pic, I've linked it as an image but it might be huge. This thread is currently associated with: Save on Foods, GuessLast edited by Chantel; Mon, Oct 15th, 2012 at 02:56 AM.

I scored 4 packs of extra lean ground beef at freshco in a silimar deal for $2 a pack.
There should be no issue with using beef if you cook it properly.

Expiry date, Cath. They 'expire' in about two days, but they've already been stuck in ziplock bags and shoved in the freezer.
I do prefer the $ off too, it's a WAY better deal! I like half price, but 30% of whatever is not that great of a deal, I much prefer this.

Excellent shopping score! Wish I could find such a great deal. Congrats!
Just joined Kiva.org, an organization that funds micro-loans to people in developing countries. I love the idea that the $25 I saved in groceries can be given to a fish woman with 5 children in the Philippines to help grow her business.

Great deal. I have not bought any ground meat since the recall has been announced. My husband went twice at the local butcher but I refused to eat it.
