Question.
I redeemed my points for a USD gift card. They deposited $x USD directly into my Paypal account. If I move that into my registered Canadian Dollar bank account, will my bank convert the USD into CAD? or does Paypal convert the USD to CAD? or is it $1USD = $1CAD?

If you log into your Paypal account it will show that you have X amount of USD already showing the amount converted to CDN on top, so my understanding is that it will transfer the Canadian dollar amount to your account which is pretty good at the moment

Yes, that's correct because of the high exchange rate from USA and I believe it will maintain until the oil price becomes more stable. However, you need to meet the SB requirement (Same name and verified) if you want to redeem paypal. Also, paypal is cash, you can use it on whatever way you want, not just spending on Amazon.ca.
If anyone doesn't have paypal, but spending moeny from Starbucks / Homedepot regularly, then you can consider these 2 gift cards as well since they are in US$ currency.
