Wowzers what deals were had at the closing Bay store in Halifax today.
I spent $114 dollars- but I cashed in my points, so I didn't spent a dime.
This is what I got:
-two men's fedora hats (regularly $45 each)
-Two Calvin Klein Bras (regularly $40-50 each)
-One nine west dress (regularly $130)
-Pj pants (regularly $18)
-Lace Tanjay skirt (regularly $68)
-Leather Handbag (regularly $130)
-Double Sized bedskirt (regularly $80)
So I got all this for free, I get the points using my hbc mastercard to pay for bills, so this was a couple years of saving points, and I still have $50 on a gift card.
Now this was my type of shopping. I feel like I am on such a high right now. This thread is currently associated with: Nine WestTry out the maven box by julep And code FREEFB, and get your box for one cent:

I used to work at this Bay store, and to be truthful, it's not a surprize that this one is closing. The mall that it is in no longer has any stores in it, the Bay was the only retail store, and it's been struggling for the last two years.

Is the store pretty picked over - do you have to really search to find good deals/clothes, etc worth buying?? Great deals for you

It all depends on what you are looking for. The store is a mess. For clothing there still is a huge selection for both Men and Women and lots of different sizes.
If you have a young child and need a snowsuit, there are tons of them, for small like 3 years and younger.
Not really any shoes, towels, kitchenware, sheets, furniture.
It is however shocking with the mess. If you can avoid it, do not go on the weekend, my parents tried to go, and the line ups were 60 people deep with all the cashs going. I went during the early afternoon and there was only one person in front of me.
Also be ready to see some strange behavior and rude people, I feel bad for the staff. An example, a woman trying on bra's, over her clothes in the middle of one of the main aisles, yelling to her husband 20 feet away about how this might work for a dress she has, the empty lingere dressing room about 10 feet from her. There is also clothing strewn everywhere, the staff can't keep up with the mess that people are creating.Try out the maven box by julep And code FREEFB, and get your box for one cent:
