This morning they had a sign on the door at Parkland Mall Walmart about wanting full time staff temporarily during renovations.I ask a lady putting stuff out on the shelf if the Walmart is getting turned into a Supercentre. She said yes and it will be done by August.

Really. Where are they going to find the space for produce/meat etc??? Are they expanding into the parking lot?

I didn't ask how they are fitting the Supercentre in.Just my guess they could cut down the size of other departments and keep the same size of building.

I always found that store cramped as it was, it'll be interesting to see what they do to it to make it a Super Centre

There was an article in today's Red Deer about the Parkland Mall Supercentre.Basically it says the store will stay the same size with all the new departments in it.

Oh OK. Well I hope its great. It will be nice to have another place to shop at for groceries. I think competition between stores can only make things better for the consumer.

Didnt know if I should start a new thread for this but thought I should let you all know.
Walmart North is not on board with the new couppn policy. Went this weekend to buy some ziploc bags and some other stuff. I only had 6 boxes and they refused the buy 2 get $4.00 off said they cannot adjust the price of the coupon nor apply the overage to the basket. Also said that I cannot photocopy coupons that I print of the internet. I told them I printed in black and white and they said it needed to be printed in color. I had 2 different ziploc coupons for when you buy 2 save 2 and buy 2 get 1 free. They would only take my chopice of these coupons because they said it was only one coupon per product, despite the different coupons and the 6 boxes. A cashier, supervisor and manager were all involed so its not like the proper chain of command was not followed.
I felt bad for the huge line up and only 2 tills open so I just took the bags. If I wasnt so lazy I would take them back and return them. Oh well just so you all know our Walmart isnt as compliant with the new policy as others on this forum.

It must have just been an unlucky shift
Sorry! I've had really good luck at WM North lately. I always go armed with their policy, just in case, but haven't needed it my last few trips
Next time try asking for Kevin, he was the AM that I spoke with when the policy was first being sorted out.Want another way to earn free amazon.ca or amazon.com gift certificates??
